DC Direct held its panel today – I was not able to attend, but Buzzy did – I’ll ask him to fill in the blanks at a later time. But they did have three action figure lines in their display area. In continuity order, they had Brightest Day, Flashpoint, and the debut of their DCnU figures.

Easy DC Universe Classics Custom Batman

Yes, I’m positively batty for Batman…

I’m currently in the middle of a couple complicated custom jobs (that aren’t Batman related) and I decided that in my down time, waiting for something to cure, dry, etc., I should do something fun and easy that would actually go on my shelf. And as it turns out, I’ve ended up with my favorite custom Batman.

Yet Another DC Universe Classics Custom Batman!

Yep, another custom Batman! What can I say? I can’t turn down an opportunity to make a Batman. This one in particular was created for big time Dark Knight fan; batmego27. It was a bit daunting because batmego27 has some very nice custom Batman figures made by other talented customizers like Fwoosh’s Prodigy (who has made a gazillion great custom Batmans) and world famous Matt Cauley, AKA Iron Cow.

WonderCon 2011 – Green Lantern

Yes, I still have WonderCon pics to post – one day I’ll win the lottery and this can become my full-time gig. For now, please accept my apologies that these pics of Green Lantern action figures weren’t posted a week ago. With the movie opening just over 2 months from now, WonderCon was one of the last big pop culture events available to promote the movie and associated merchandise. And Green Lantern had a very strong presence, being featured prominently at both the DC and Mattel booths.

Q: What’s Better Than Storing Your Action Figures in Big Plastic Tubs? v3

A: Actually having space to display them! 🙂

I waffled on whether to call this the third installment in a series of posts showing off the now not-so-new action figure display – because this is really not much of an update. In the first installment, I talked about setting up a new action figure display consisting of shelving cubes, after we put in new carpet. In the second, I talked about adding tap lights to that display.
