While we’re talking about 3A Toys, they recently shared pics of the 3A Toys booth at Toy Soul show in Hong Kong. I’ve reposted a few here, including their upcoming 1/12 scale Judge Death. It’s interesting that 2000 A.D. has a couple concurrent licensing deals. In addition to 3A, Mezco showed off their 1/12 scale Judge Dredd at NYCC. It’ll be interesting to see how much overlap there’ll be between the two licensees, both of whose figures I love.

All I can say is that neither company is making these figures fast enough for my liking, although the 3A Toys Judge Death does go up for pre-order next week. While it’s beautiful, I’m not sure if it’s a must-buy for me – I’m still plenty pleased with the Judge Death we got a few years ago in Legendary Comic Book Heroes from Marvel Toys (Toy Biz).

The holidays are a great time to pick up figures on sale as retailers look to clear slower movers at the end of the year. So while you won’t see any of the harder to find figures on this list, you may be able to fill some gaps in your collection or get some fodder for customizing projects. Weekend Toy Run: Hot Toys Batman, Superman, and Iron Man Get Sideshow Cyber Monday Savings

Sideshow is upping the discounts on selected 1/6 scale Hot Toys figures from their DC and Marvel licenses. Many of these items were already on sale for 10 – 30% off (and many other items are still at those discount levels) for Black Friday but are now seeing even bigger discounts on Cyber Monday. Weekend Toy Run: Invincible Deals on Hot Toys and More at Marvel.com

Marvel.com is running its annual Veteran’s Day sale, and there’s a whole lot of good deals on the site for 25% off and free shipping for orders over $50 (code: MARVELHERO). You’ll find the usual suspects – Marvel Select figures from Diamond Select Toys, Funko head bobblers, and even LEGO sets. If you’ve got the hankering for some Marvel tees, they’ve even got a few you can customize, like this Guardians of the Galaxy t-shirt for the guys, and this SHIELD tee for the ladies. All of the customizable gear is available for men, women, and kids. Want a tee with just Rocket and Groot on it? Just hit the “Customize it!” button.

But the biggest bang for your buck is on the Hot Toys in the Marvel Shop Collectibles section. Even with the slight markup on the Marvel site, the 25% off and free shipping nets you the best prices you can get this weekend. For example, the Hot Toys Tony Stark Mechanic figure from Iron Man 3 is currently available. You’ll save more than just a couple of bucks this way (enough for some good BBQ), and the best part is that the Marvel Shop is listing Sideshow exclusive version, with Tony  Stark’s kitbashed repulsor.

As you might expect this holiday, they are sold out of the Hot Toys Iron Patriot (they have him in bobble-head format), but they’ve got a few Marvel Select Captain America figures, including the Falcon.

ThreeA Toys Helloween to Feature Doctor Doom and More

3A Toys will be holding a Halloween sale again this year at Bambaland, and they’ll have a few treats for your goodie bags. First, they’re continuing the tradition of having a pumpkin-headed zombie available – this one will be a Charkin (the burnt variety compared to the yet to be in flames Zombkin) in the new 8-inch 3AGO / MEGO style. They will also introduce a new 1/6 line, called HEX,from new 3A designer Crystal Jade Vaughan.

Doctor Doom will also be available – three colorways have been revealed so far. Doom on Halloween? I guess the sorcery angle could explain it. Iron Man was pre-sold around Valentine’s Day – and you know, he’s got the bad heart. Holiday theme or just coincidence?
