Wow, the original Nightmare on Elm Street movie came out 26 years ago? I don’t know what Robert Englund was known for before that, but he was forever Freddy Krueger afterwards – six movies and a TV series as the character will do that.
Jackie Earle Haley was awesome as Rorschach, but the trailers for this movie are a little distracting with his Rorschach voice coming out of Freddy Krueger.

NECA reveals action figures from the new A Nightmare on Elm Street!
Twenty-six years after the original A Nightmare on Elm Street kept a whole generation awake at night, the franchise that gave us one of horror’s most memorable baddies, Freddy Krueger, is getting a reboot courtesy of director Samuel Bayer and New Line Cinema. Taking on the iconic Freddy role is actor Jackie Earle Haley, perhaps best known as Rorschach from The Watchmen. To honor the release of the film and the rebirth of this cultural icon, NECA is proud to unveil our brand new A Nightmare on Elm Street figures!
Where else to start but with Freddy himself? Our run of figures features two different versions of the Freddy Kruger character: One before he is burned and one after. Pre-fire Fred Krueger comes with an interchangeable right hand, and razor-glove Freddy comes with that famous weapon and two interchangeable heads. Each figure stands 6 3/4″ tall and is fully poseable.
A Nightmare on Elm Street figures are in stores now and also featured on our Amazon storefront.

I love the new Freddy Krueger figures. The unburned version looks a bit like Jackie E Haley himself. I have bought the unburned one, but I’m also gonna buy the other one too.
