Agent_M over at Marvel blogged about opening up his advanced preview of the Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Marvel Universe Galactus. It really does dwarf the Build-a-Figure version from way back during Toy Biz’s Marvel Legends run.
I’m glad to see that the electronics are still part of this package. It’s too bad they couldn’t find a way to get the Silver Surfer included, though. Nevertheless, this is an awesome exclusive for SDCC!
Don’t forget to get your chance at a bunch of the Hasbro Comic-Con exclusives (and more) during our Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Pre-Show Giveaway. Day 1 here at AFP featured the Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs figure and the Super Hero Squad 3-pack. Today, for day 2, Fwoosh has two exclusive Star Wars Comic 2-Packs, one from SDCC and the other from Star Wars Celebration V.
Unboxing Hasbro’s 19-inch Galactus Figure
So, when I heard what Hasbro’s San Diego Comic-Con 2010 exclusive toys would be, I had an idea: film and post an “unboxing” video of Hasbro’s massive 19-inch Galactus action figure!
And that’s what we did! Hasbro sent over all their exclusives and now, less than a week away from SDCC 2010, I tore into Galactus to show you guys just how awesome this toy is. And we get a little look at all the other swag Hasbro has at the show!
Here’s the video, I hope you enjoy it:

Galactus is a work of art, shame you took him out of that sweet plastic home, but thanks thou!
Any chance we could see a couple more photos of this figure next to a Marvel Legend and Marvel Univere figure? And even cooler would be to see the ML Galactus next to those same figures for comparison sake. Thanks. Cool video.
Ouch! Shouldn’t have opened.
Why? I enjoy opening and playing with them too, but the SDCC Galactus exclusive is all about the packaging.
The exact same Galactus is supposed to be released to the retail market, along with a metallic 3 3/4″ Silver Surfer, under the ‘Masterworks’ subseries title in October.
The regular retail one is the one to open.
Tis mighty awesome though, I’ll definatly be looking for the Masterworks one.
