It’s Preview Night at San Diego Comic-Con, and although I’m exhausted from the sheer excitement of it all, I couldn’t go to sleep without posting our first look at Masters of the Universe Classics. No, there wasn’t much, if anything new, but I was still excited to see some items that we’d only seen the backside of, like that hairy beast Grizzlor.
Like DC Universe Classics, Masters of the Universe Classics had a nice diorama, with a Classic Grayskull facade and some sandy terrain.
In addition to Orko / Prince Adam and Mo-Larr / Skeletor for sale, Mattel also has a limited number of She-Ras, Skeletors, He-Ros, and King Randors for sale. They’ve split up the cash registers from the bagging and distributing of purchases. That still needs a few reconsiderations, because while the trip to the cash registers are moving faster, that just moved the bottleneck to the bagging step.
Mattel also has silver-deco She-Ras up for auction, and a giveaway of Moss-Man deodorant. Take a hint, stinky Con-goers!
We’ll see more figures revealed during the Mattel panel on Friday, but for now, we got some good looks at Chief Carnivus, Whiplash, and Grizzlor. VB and I will be doing a face-off soon on which Whiplash head is better – which one do you like?
