Hasbro added a few new figures to their Marvel display at New York Comic Con, including:
- New Captain America figures from the Comics series
- New Thor figures from the Movie series
- Marvel Legends 2-packs (from the series hitting TRU now, not from the 2012 relaunch)
They also rearranged figures in the Marvel Universe section, so we got some more shots.
Captain America Comics Series
As we’d hoped, the comics-based line will feature characters that (probably) won’t be in the movie – Bucky Cap, USAgent, Winter Soldier, Crossbones, and Captain Britain. Is it too much to hope for an Arnim Zola, or maybe a Red Skull redo?
Here’s the original shots we took:
Thor Movie Series
Hasbro added the two Thor figures to the display. They originally only had the packaged sample. Looks like each of the movie figures will come with an accessory to appeal to kids, with the detail and articulation to appeal to adult collectors.
A note about both Cap and Thor – we asked about the possibility of 6-inch figures. Scott George, who is back on the Marvel brand after a year and a half on Nerf (welcome back!) was coy, saying there was nothing to announce at this time. If the pattern from Iron Man holds, I think we will probably see some 6-inch figures come out as retailer exclusives.
Marvel Universe
No new reveals, just some new shots of the rearranged display. Here’s the originals from yesterday:
Marvel Legends
Hasbro has said they won’t have reveals of Marvel Legends that will relaunch in 2012 most likely until San Diego Comic-Con next year. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we’ll see a teaser at Toy Fair in a few months. In the meantime, they had some figures on hand for the 2-packs that are just starting to hit Toys R Us.
GrownNerd from the Fwoosh was kind enough to pick up a set of the latest 2-packs for me, minus the red and black Deadpool and X-Force Warpath 2-pack, so I should have some more pics up of these soon.
so no exact date for the release of this figures? damn! can’t wait!!!!
