Medicom has had modest success with its 1/6 scale Real Action Hero line but they are now looking to turn the 1/12 scale on its head with its new MAFEX line of action figures, as highlighted in this blog post at AmiAmi.com. Featuring super-articulation, great sculpts, and accessories, these figures promise to be the best in class in 6 inches (6.3 inches to be precise) – sorry Hasbro and Mattel! Of course these are going to be import figures only, for those of us in the US – so you shouldn’t be expecting mass market action figure prices either.

At 2,820 JPY, they are roughly $36 and change each, not including overseas shipping. They’re listed with an expected April 2013 release date.
Oooh yeah. Now we’re gettin’ somewhere….
I’m very excited about this, let’s just hope Medicom doesn’t stop there. I don’t know how likely any more comic-styled stuff is, but if they were to do the 12″ Hush stuff in this scale, I think my quest would be over.
