Diamond Select Toys Taunts the EPA with Mini Ghost Storage Facility – Ghostbusters Firehouse Statue Coming Soon

Ghostbusters 3 may be in development hell without Bill Murray, but toy fans will still get a Ghostbusters fix from Diamond Select Toys, who are producing a seven-inch tall replica of the Ghostbusters firehouse.

At that height it’s a touch too small even for the Ghostbusters Minimates, but I really want to see this with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man that Mattel sold as a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive back in 2011.

Lit from within like someone just shut down the containment grid, this 7-inch mini-statue is the perfect accessory for any Ghostbusters fan’s desk, and has been deemed safe for indoor use by the Evironmental Protection Agency.

Faithfully re-creating the iconic landmark, it stands atop a Ghostbusters logo-adorned base, and runs on two AAA batteries (included).

Fans of 6-inch super-articulated figure lines like Marvel Legends and DC Universe Classics have long been hoping for scale-compatible figures from the Star Wars universe. It’s always been long odds, because Hasbro has been reluctant to rock the 3.75-inch boat that’s powered one of their only evergreen licenses. But the wait for 6-inch Star Wars may soon be over, according to this insider rumor posted at Rebelscum.com. Six-inch Star Wars figures may be coming our way, and the big surprise, if it can be believed, is that they won’t be coming to us from Hasbro.

CustomCon is a special presentation of new custom toy creations by customizers around the globe. Ten years in the running, it’s still going strong. Inspired by the presentations of new product by legitimate manufacturers at Toy Fair and other trade shows, CustomCon is a “fake” convention, whereby customizers present their latest creations and recipes as if unveiling a new line of real toys to retailers.
