If you’re a fan of urban vinyl figures, penguins, Judge Dredd, or all of the above, this product announcement I got from newcomer Blind Mouse Toys might be of interest. Blind Mouse is utilizing the services of Joe Amaro and Eamon O’Donoghue for sculpt / paint and packaging art respectively – both have a strong following in the Masters of the Universe collector community.
They also have a Stargate SG-1 penguin listed on the Blind Mouse Toys website, but both are listed with June 24 release dates and a sold out status – but I don’t know if that just means they haven’t been put up for pre-order yet. They also have placeholders for DC Superheroes and Harry Potter, so I guess there’s more to come.
Blind Mouse Toys, a new company based out of Adelaide, Australia launch their company with the very first release from their ‘Cosplay Penguin’ line – Judge Dredd. Under license from Rebellion and 2000AD he is an awesome and incredibly cute little guy.
Sculpted and painted by the amazing Joe Amaro with box art by Eamon O’Donoghue the Judge Dredd Cosplay Penguin will be released this June. He stands 11.5cms high plus helmet, which is NON REMOVABLE just like the comics and as it should be and with a removable Lawgiver.
The first 1000 orders will be receiving a frameable copy of Eamon’s art.
As a company, Blind Mouse Toys hold the licenses to the 2000AD catelogue of characters, Stargate SG1, Thunderbirds and from Warners; Watchmen, Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter, Scooby Doo and Looney Tunes. For their Penguin line they also have access to the DC Superheroes, so keep an eye out for not only the Cosplay Penguin line of figures but some awesome 1:9 scale statues from the other licenses, and your favorite characters coming soon.
