I’m pretty psyched about the San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Star Wars Black Series Boba Fett. It’s the first 6-inch Star Wars figure and launches the new line, and one of the coolest things about it is that it comes with a Han Solo encased in carbonite as an accessory. But once you’ve got Han in carbonite, what are you going to do with him? Joe Amaro’s already got that figured out, as he recently finished his Jabba the Hutt custom complete with all the accoutrements needed for Jabba’s throne room.
Jabba has articulated arms and comes with his hookah (that’s a pipe, not a Twi’lek dancer!) and throne. Salacious Crumb is fully articulated – all that’s missing is a sound chip for his evil laugh. And if that isn’t enough, Joe already has a 6-inch Gamorrean guard in the works. If he had asked me, I would have thought it obvious that the next essential piece for his collection would be Princess Leia in her slave outfit. Duh!
Unfortunately for you and me, this is a one of a kind piece. But if you want to make one yourself, Joe has also posted plenty of WIP pics – so be sure to check out the full write-up for Jabba on Joe’s blog.
Thanks, Joe, for giving me the heads up on this unique piece.
