This week I’m highlighting a few Marvel Legends variants that Hasbro had planned (or should have planned) to make, before the variant swaps fell through for the line.
- Marvel Legends Sentry by Eddie_grayce – Sentry was to have been the variant to Hyperion, which would have made it two Superman analogues released in that wave – much like Superman, once you have an all-powerful being in the comics, you have a tough time finding interesting challenges for him – luckily for Marvel, they didn’t have much invested, so Sentry’s heel turn in Dark Avengers let them eventually kill him off (and give him a shot at other incarnations) – ends Feb 13, 2014 15:15:06 PST
- Marvel Legends Bulldozer by Toycooker – Bulldozer was originally intended to come out as a variant to the Wrecker – I hope if Hasbro finds a way to release this variant they’ll reconsider the classic version with a little less hardware around the neck – ends Feb 12, 2014 08:31:53 PST
- Marvel Legends Bob, Agent of Hydra by glennwebman69 – this custom is such a relatively simple one that I’m surprised Hasbro didn’t make a chase Bob figure with the Hydra agent from the Captain America Marvel Legends Infinite Series – ends Feb 16, 2014 16:20:08 PST

I still hope they find ways to get those guys out. You can’t just have 3/4s of The Wrecking Crew, and Sentry is a much deserved update, as there was never a long-haired, non-beaded one, which is how he appeared for the majority of his run.
