We’ve been oooohing and aaahing over the new line of 6-inch super-articulated figures coming from DC Collectibles for Batman: The Animated Series later this year. We’d previously seen the first wave, with Batman and Catwoman in detail and Two-Face and Mr. Freeze in digital sculpt form. In the latest reveal, MTV.com posted color pics of Two-Face and Mr. Freeze, and revealed three of the four figures coming in wave two. The fourth figure will be revealed by DC Collectibles on Friday.
The Gentle Giant-sculpted figures are due out near the end of the year. Wave one had been previously scheduled for a November release, and wave two is to follow on its heels in December. Any guesses who the final figure in wave two will be?

Joker, Robin, Poison Ivy and more will be released by end of year.If you’re a fan of the old DC Comics-based series “Batman: The Animated Series,” or any of the multitude of shows it spawned (including “The New Batman Adventures”) you’re probably in love with the Bruce Timm-designed action figures from DC Collectibles that we revealed before this year’s Toy Fair.
If that’s the case we have some good — no, great — news to share. DC Collectibles will be releasing five more figures: two in the first wave of the line, and then three more, available this December. Even better news: we can exclusively reveal them to you, right here, right now. They are:
- “The New Batman Adventures” Two-Face action figure
- “The New Batman Adventures” Mr. Freeze action figure
…And in wave two, which will retail for $25.95 when released at the end of 2014:
- “Batman The Animated Series” Robin action figure
- “Batman The Animated Series” The Joker action figure
- “The New Batman Adventures” Poison Ivy action figure
That’s not all. Though we can’t show it to you now, you can check out one final character in wave two by heading to the DC Collectibles Facebook page on Friday (May 16).
What do you think, Bat-fans? Are you going to be picking these up?

That Joker is just sheer perfection in plastic. Well, at least if he comes with at least one swappable hand, and a gun. Guessing maybe Penguin or Riddler for the final reveal, as top tier baddies that are visually appealing.
