Back in March, Japan was ravaged by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake. After the event, many toy companies based in Japan or with close ties to Japan began running relief funds and donation drives. ThreeA toys, run by Ashley Wood, was one such company to do this, with the sale of the Japan Defense Force: Emergency Armstrong.

Ahh CaptainPower, Mattel’s insane invention to have toys that interacted with a television show much like the NES Duck Hunt zapper. But for any toyline with a gimmick and vehicles, you first need figures and some good villains. Captain Power had both.

All good things must take a break, and so it is with Wayback Wednesday. I am in the process of moving over the next month and a half, and therefore all of my toys are saying goodbye to the sunlight and being packed away.
