Marvel Universe Masterworks Galactus Found at Toys R Us

I was on a toy run Thursday and I was surprised to see the Marvel Universe Masterworks Galactus in my local Toys ‘R’ Us, here in Los Angeles. He wasn’t even in the Marvel Universe section – instead he was chillin’ in the Marvel Super Hero Squad aisle! I found the regular Galactus, no sign of the variant color scheme (Ultimate Alliance colors). Anyways here are some packaged pics of him:

Wal-Mart Exclusive DC Universe Classics Green Lantern’s Light 5-Pack

Green Lantern 5-Pack (1200x676).jpg

It was at Toy Fair earlier this year when I first saw the 2-ups for Guy Gardner and Tomar-Re – two essential characters from the Green Lantern comic books that hadn’t yet been made in DC Universe Classics. Marvel Universe Wave 9 Skrull Soldier Quick Pics

Ok, so my most wanted of Marvel Universe Wave 9 was Wrecker, mostly because he sports the improved body (with hip swivels) that Hasbro has been slowly integrating in the line. I wasn’t excited about the rest of the characters because all of them sported the old and outdated bodies. So it was a big surprise to me that I found myself liking the Skrull Soldier when I finally found one. I liked it enough to pick up two more, even though it uses the same body that they used on the Human Torch, which I am not very fond of.

I’m not quite sure what it is, but I found myself taking more and more pictures of them. Maybe it’s a combination of the nice headsculpt, the weapons and the added costume details, but whatever it is I ended up liking this figure as much as Wrecker! Ok, onto the pics!

Transformers Power-Core Combiners Skyburst and Aerialbots

Hasbro has a long history of putting gimmicks into Transformers, from Mini-cons to Powerlink to Cyber Keys. The next generation of gimmick-driven Transformers are the Power-Core Combiners. In this review I’ll take a look at Skyburst and the Aerialbots.
