Hasbro is going to continue to have 6-inch figures for their Marvel brands, and as we suspected, some of them will be retailer exclusives for the current Marvel movies, much like Walmart and Kmart had exclusive 6-inchers for the Iron Man movies.

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 – Hasbro Marvel Universe Preview Night

With all my excitement about Marvel Legends, I might have missed the Marvel Universe display – but that was simply not possible with all the figures on hand. Make no mistake, 6-inch figures may be coming back, but 4-inch will still rule the Marvel shelf space in your local toy stores. On hand were single-carded figures, more 2-packs, and the upcoming 3-pack retailer exclusives. I wonder if we’re going to see another big figure to follow the Sentinel and Galactus.

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 – Coverage Starts Today

AFP’s coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2011 will kick off today with reports from the floor on Preview Night. Sandman will be joining me at the show again this year, and I’m psyched that our own Buzzy Fret will be there too. And of course we’ll be hanging out with the crew from the Fwoosh, as well as other members of the online toy community.

You probably have noticed that in the past few weeks we haven’t been posting as much as usual. I had been getting some comments that AFP has been on the slow side as we’ve grown. I figured it would probably be best to do something about that before SDCC kicked off in high gear.

So for the past few weeks, I’ve been moving stuff over to our new host and getting the site working again – and that’s why it’s been a little slow here. But that’s about to be rectified… hopefully our new host will be able to keep us live as the show goes on. Please let me know how the site is holding up.

See you back here tonight, when we should be posting highlights from Preview Night!
