Just wanted to post a quick reminder that Mattel should have two items on sale on Mattycollector this Tuesday, September 15, at Noon EST. First there’s the Masters of the Universe Classics Webstor. For those of us who signed up for the MOTU Classics subscription, Webstor is the first figure in it – so subscription holders, I know Mattel has us conditioned to hit the site mid-month, but don’t order one unless you want an extra.
Then there’s the Joker as a Gotham City Thug – that’s a mouthful, so I just think of him as Bank Robber Joker. However, as of this writing, the Mattycollector site does not yet have the Joker listed. I guess we still have the business day on Monday to get that listed, but I have a nagging feeling that maybe there’s a production or delivery issue that may delay this figure. We’ll see.
They’ve also got a couple of Halo Kubrick items. I know some folks who go crazy over these, but they’re normally a little too pricey for me.
Labor Day Month Long Sale
We are giving our collectors an early start on our month long Labor Day Sale. Save up to 50% off the regular retail prices on in stock selected items listed below. The sale prices are valid through September 30th, 2009 or while supplies last.
Ok, so this isn’t exactly action figures, but one of the coolest things I got at San Diego Comic-Con was my own Black Lantern ring. They were a big hit, causing a line at the DC booth whenever they were giving them out. (Although, it was not as long a line as there was for the Adult Swim “stick your hand in a hole in the wall” promo.)
People kept asking if they were going to make the rest of the ROYGBIV rings, and DC recently announced a comic book promotion where retailers could get the rings to give away as promotions. If you’re looking for an easy way to get all seven rings, as well as enter a contest where you could win one of the black rings, here you go!
Collect All Seven Blackest Night Lantern Rings!
If you’re a Green Lantern fan, you know all about Blackest Night, the biggest DC Comics crossover event of the year. But did you know you can collect a complete set of seven Blackest Night Lantern Rings when you buy the comics below?
You have two choices for each issue: either buy just the comic, or choose the comic with ring package. The rings are free, but you will incur a small price jump in shipping (most U.S. customers will see only a $.50 or $1.00 difference) because we can’t ship the rings in a flat package.
Close to the start of the month, Mattel announced that Teela and Zodak would be on sale in October on their Facebook page. Now both have been added to the Mattycollector site and the sale date set to October 15. While Zoar is in the original deco, they hinted at a red and blue Zoar coming later – is this a hint that the Sorceress is coming?
