Hot Toys Reveals Iron Man 3 Starboost Mark XXXIX

I love me some Hot Toys, but that House Party Protocol finale in Iron Man 3 is a double-edged sword. It’s very cool to have so many armors to make, but unless you’ve got Tony Stark’s bank, you won’t be able to Pokemon them all. I’ll be doing an Iron Man movie marathon pretty soon (the rules – no bathroom breaks – not as challenging as the Lord of the Rings marathon) so I’ll be checking out the scene for all the armors that I missed. Starboost is one of them.

You can pre-order the Hot Toys Iron Man 3 Starboost figure at Sideshow Collectibles. It’s got LED lights for the eyes, ARC reactor, and back thruster pack, plus the usual set of interchangeable hands. Yours for $269, arriving November this year. Not that I’ll ever tire of seeing new Iron Man armors, but hopefully by then we’ll see some figures from the next Marvel franchise – Guardians of the Galaxy. Happy New Year! – Watch the Marvel Legends Wolverine Epic Split

Hope you had a great holiday. If you did any surfing over the past couple weeks, you probably encountered the Chuck Norris Epic Christmas Split, the interweb’s response to the Jean Claude Van Damme Epic Split commercial that was produced by Volvo.

Not to be outdone, the Marvel Legends Wolverine from Toy Biz one ups them both, with some help from a couple of Hasbro Sentinels from the Marvel Universe line. The video is from Reckless Abandonment Pictures, the guys who brought us some action figure stop motion videos for the openings of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and X-Men cartoons.

We’ll get back into the swing of things this week – in the meantime, enjoy the video!
