ThreeA Toys Reveals Ascended Blind Cowboy Chase and the Sock Puppet Origin

3A Toys White Ascended Cowboy Teaser redsockspeaks1 redsockspeaks2

The 3A Toys Dead Equine Super Set pre-order is live on Bambaland now, but if you want some practice hitting F5 to refresh your browser, you can go after the White Ascended Cowboy chase figure, to be pre-sold as a single figure in extremely limited quantities for $120. This chase will come with all of the weapons of the Shadow Slinger version, and also come with a severed robot head. He’ll be available in batches throughout the remainder of the sale, which should close up shop around 9PM EST today.

Ashley Wood also shared a couple panels on how the red sock puppet that will come in the Dead Equine set is tied into the Blind Cowboy. The comic will be included with the set, as well as a collectible poster. Really looking forward to this one. Happy shopping!

ThreeA Toys Dead Equine Super Set Pre-Order Starts 9PM EST 4/29

The Blind Cowboy and his horse, Ghost, are back in the Dead Equine Super Set from the 3A Toys Popbot universe. The set is up for pre-order at Bambaland starting at 9PM EST today. This is their second release – the first was a couple years back in a brighter palette. The Blind Cowboy from 2011 had a red poncho, but I’m not sure if there’s anything else different with the new Shadow Slinger release aside from the darker coloring. The horse gets an upgrade with a few more pouches and the classification as a “funeral” horse. In addition, the Dead Equine set will include a sock puppet – like Mr. Bridger that came with the Red Devil Lady Sham, but supposedly a different character.

3A has managed to keep the pre-order price the same for the new release as it was back in 2011 – $270 for the cowboy and horse. I’m not sure if 3A will have the option to buy the Blind Cowboy on his own, like they did last time.

ThreeA Toys Action Portable “Palm in the Face Sunday” Fighting JC

Here’s a quick pic review of ThreeA’s Action Portable PITFS (Palm in the Face Sunday) Fighting JC. This guy is the 6-inch version of the original PITFS 12-inch Fighting JC. ThreeA had pre-orders for these figures last year and they started arriving around last month. There’s 5 versions of JC: the original black robe with red detail JC, Mauro which is a grey skinned JC with blond hair and a black robe and pants, Exegesis with blond hair and garbed in white, a track suit JC, and finally the PITFS version which is the one I picked up. Each figure costs $45 (with $15 shipping) and there was a 4-piece set ($180)  which had all JC’s minus the Tracksuit one, which was a surprise drop during the Action Portable Slicers sale.

There’s not a lot of backstory for this guy except he was sent back by the “Big Guy” to kick some butt in a troubled world. He’s a member of the Adventure Kartel team, a group that battles Zomb MD and his undead army.

ThreeA Toys WWRp R.I.P 003 Caesar Up For Pre-Order Now

003AP

No sooner than Gimbat hinted in his daily news thread on the 3A forums that the WWRp Bromwich Bertie Mk 3.5 would be coming down from pre-orders soon did 3A put up the next Portable release. The R.I.P 003 Caesar is up on Bambaland for $75 (including shipping).

In the 1/6 scale World War Robot line, the Zero Zero Three was part of an exclusive “father and son” 2-pack with the “young man” version of Darwin Rothchild – in WWR lore, Rothchild is the creator of the robots in World War Robot. However, in this 1/12 scale release, this dual knife-wielding Caesar is on his own. I don’t think 3A has released any version of Rothchild in 1/12 scale yet.

ThreeA Toys Reveals TKLUB Two – NAGE M.I.A

3A Toys revealed the second of the Tomorrow Kings Klub figures – Nage M.I.A. Nage is also the second out of three TKs needed for the Art of TK Mook – I am guessing since it’s apparently not a typo that it’s a combo magazine / book.

I pre-ordered Oroshi 18, the first TKlub figure at the end of March, and will be going in for Nage when he goes on sale in early May. More details to come.
