Marvel Select Juggernaut Production Pics

Wow. If the Marvel Select Juggernaut isn’t an argument for what digital sculpting can achieve in the hands of skilled sculptors, I don’t know what is.

I know that Gentle Giant has done work the Marvel Select line before – the best example from recent history is the Marvel Select Modern Thor, my pick for best figure of 2008 – but they’ve really gone above and beyond here. Just check out that detail!

Nothing Can Stop Him

Hold on.  Why do they always say that about the Juggernaut?  I mean, am I wrong or do they not find a way to stop him EVERY TIME?  Seems to me he gets stopped on a regular basis.  Oh well, who cares as long as he romps and stomps right up until the stoppage?  Whether he’s on the side of evil or good, everyone loves to see Cain Marko destroy anything in his path.  Our good friends at Gentle Giant have been itching to see Juggy added to the Marvel Select line, especially if they got to do the sculpting, so here you go.  Colors are brought to you by Eddie Wires…

Marvel Select Thing Packaged Pics

It’s a matter of personal preference, but I don’t think of the Fantastic Four’s Thing as massive in the same was as I do the Hulk or the Abomination. I’d prefer it if he were no taller than Mr. Fantastic, but still pretty broad.

That said, I think the upcoming Marvel Select figure has got the best sculpt for an action figure of the Thing that I’ve ever seen. The last shipping update we got from Diamond Select Toys didn’t include a date for the Thing, but some sites have him listed as coming out in early May.

It’s Marvel Select CLOBBERIN’ TIME!

Next installment of our Marvel Select…The THING!!!

And let me tell you… this packaging…it’s really freakin’ heavy.

It’s like he’s made of rocks or something…
