Gentle Giant gets the nod for more of DC Collectibles Arkham Origins figures. Croc is massive, and if he’s priced like the previous deluxe figures, he’s gonna take a huge bite out of your wallet.
IGN has your first sneak peek at DC Collectibles’ newest piece.
Heads up, Bat-fans! IGN has an exclusive first look at DC Collectibles’ latest piece to come out of its Batman: Arkham Origins action figure collection — Batman: Arkham Origins: Killer Croc Series 2 Deluxe Action Figure.
As the last figure to be announced for Series 2, Croc was sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios and stands a whopping 10 inches tall.
DC Collectibles played the Spoiler Alert game with the Capullo Riddler, and he’ll be joined by 3 other figures in the first series: Batman, Talon, and Nightwing. They’re due out in April and May next year. The solicits also more New 52 super-villains with Bizarro and Deathstorm (who?), and included the Arkham City Two-Face that was teased in the week with Solomon Grundy feature – apparently he’s on his own, and not with another wave of Arkham action figures.
Finally, an action figure 2-pack for the Arrow TV series, with Oliver Queen and Deathstroke – are you guys excited about this?
For those of you who spotted the duo of coins covering Solomon Grundy’s eyes in the week with Solomon Grundy feature earlier this week, your guesses have been confirmed. Two-Face from Batman: Arkham City is joining the DC Collectibles line-up in April next year.
Does this mean another wave of Arkham City figures? More pics and info to come, I’m sure.
During last week’s “Days of Solomon Grundy,” we left a clue to an upcoming 6” action figure in one of the images, and a few of you with eagle eyes were able to spot it. Grundy had two shiny coins placed over his eyes in Saturday’s image. You know which popular villain is known for using a coin, right? That’s right, Two-Face! We’re pleased to inform you that Two-Face will join his fellow Arkham City villains in April 2014.
DC Collectibles ran a nice series of pics for their deluxe Batman: Arkham City Solomon Grundy – they depict the old nursery rhyme that was the inspiration for the DC comic book character. At the end of the week, they wrapped up the series (on Sunday) with a hint that they had teased an upcoming figure in one of the pics.
I’ll give you a clue, based on the smart money – the eyes have it! Solomon Grundy is available on Amazon for a whopping $79.40. He stands over 13-inches tall and has (as you’ll see in the pictures) a removable chest and heart.
