That doofus known as GrownNerd may not know what’s up in general, but he’s a long time nerd so he’s down with what nerds want. And what do you want?

You want a classic cigar chomping gun toting jet pack accessory flying Nick Fury, not long coat wearing Ultimate Snakes on the M*****F***ing Plane Fury.

You want a middle aged Dum Dum Dugan that has a belly not unlike your own stout but firm abdomen, not that young Adonis shaped pretty boy from the Twin Packs.

You want a Russian sexpot Black Widow with assets gratuitously displayed, not that disappointingly PG rated movie Natasha with straps and zippers everywhere but all of them strapped and zipped.

NYCC 2015: Square Enix Play Arts Kai – Batman v Superman, Marvel Variants, and More

I have been a fan of Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai line for some time, but with price creep pushing single figures to the $100 range and more, I’ve curtailed my purchases somewhat. I may have to go hog wild on some of their newest reveals though. Most notably, Square Enix expanded their DC license to include Batman v Superman, revealing four figures – Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Bats in his armored suit. While I’ve been particularly disappointed by what some licensees (ahem Mattel) have produced, these are the first to really pique my interest.

While Street Fighter has seemingly gone to the wayside, they’ve continued with their mainstays. DC continues with more Arkham and variant figures. The newer Marvel variants add Black Widow and Captain America. And there’s Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid, and Halo, to name a few more.

Finally! We’ve spotted the listing for the Amazon-exclusive Marvel Legends Avengers: Age of Ultron 4-pack. Amazon’s first Legends exclusive includes Marvel Cinematic Universe versions of Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and for the first time in the line, a Mark Ruffalo Bruce Banner in his civvies. Hasbro first announced the 4-pack at Toy Fair, and we saw the figures for the first time with a whole mess of Marvel Legends at San Diego Comic-Con.

Get a Personalized SHIELD Guidebook for Your Little (or Big) Agent of SHIELD

Put Me In The Story - Avengers Black Ops Field Guide

I’ve been suffering from some lingering guilt ever since getting a personalized SHIELD badge and ID card at NYCC a few years ago, when the Agents of SHIELD TV sereies was just getting started. You see, I got one for myself, and not for my wife. So when I got the opportunity to personalize The Avengers: Black Ops Field Guide book from Put Me In The Story, I jumped at the chance to immortalize Agent Random Things in print.

The process took just a few minutes, and after about a week, I was able to give her a completely personalized book, including a SHIELD ID card with her picture and details, a dedication I wrote, and a bunch of other cool stuff in the book. I recreated the process with a pre-Super Soldier Serum Steve Rogers for you to follow along, since my wife would terminate me with extreme prejudice if I were to divulge any of her personal info. 😀

SDCC 2015 Funko Exclusives Reveals Bonus plus Tees

We thought Funko might have one more reveal before the big show, and they did not disappoint. In addition to two more Funko Pop! exclusives, for Batman v Superman and Breaking Bad, they also are introducing a new line of t-shirts featuring their Pop! vinyls.

Looks like their license for t-shirts may be as broad as what their other lines cover, as the debut includes Skeletor from Masters of the Universe, Black Widow from the Avengers, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But what, no Star Wars?
