Border Patrol: Marvel Ends of the Earth Spider-Man and Colleen Wing, and Star Wars Black Series Deadpool Fett

For this edition of Border Patrol, here are three Marvel-themed customs from across Hasbro’s toy lines:

Marvel Legends Ends of the Earth Spider-Man by happydaycustoms – I never read the Ends of Earth series where Spidey crafts this armor to fight the Sinister Six, but I see the costume when I’m online playing Marvel Heroes – definitely looks cool, and the custom is well done – ends Monday, April 6, at 5:45AM PST
Marvel Universe Colleen Wing by Delo-customs – with Misty Knight coming in Spider-Man Legends, I’m going to need Colleen too – this one’s in 3.75-inch scale but if she were Legends-sized you’d be bidding against me – ends Friday, April 3, at 7:27PM PST
Star Wars Black Series Deadpool Boba Fett by FanBoys Toys – this mash-up might not be your thing, but with a new Star Wars movie coming out at the end of this year, and a Deadpool movie on its heels in February, maybe it’s time these two characters get the bodyslide by two treatment – ends Thursday, April 9, at 9:02PM PST

Weekend Toy Run: Hasbro Retailer Exclusives Still Available; Some on Clearance

Retailer exclusives can be frustrating for today’s collector. I know I’m spending less time hitting brick and mortar stores for traditional toy runs, so when a toy company announces them, I start worrying about whether I’ll actually be able to acquire them for my collection.

With these Hasbro exclusives for Marvel Legends and Star Wars, I guess I needn’t have worried.

Hasbro Strikes Back with Marvel Star Wars #1 Variant Cover

This morning, Diamond Comics feed debuted the latest (and we think greatest) variant cover to Marvel’s eagerly anticipated new comic, STAR WARS #1: the HASBRO PREVIEWS EXCLUSIVE VARIANT

The variant cover was photographed using Hasbro’s STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES 6-inch figures, including Darth Vader and Boba Fett, the upcoming Emperor Palpatine, Bossk and IG-88 figures, and 50 Stormtroopers!

STAR WARS #1 will be available from Marvel in January 2015, featuring the all-star creative team of Jason Aaron and John Cassaday with a story that picks up shortly after the events of STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE! May the Fourth Be With You at Sideshow Collectibles

This Sunday is May the 4th, a date fans have designated Star Wars Day – that despite being a fan myself somehow had no idea about until last year. This year, Sideshow Collectibles is back with a May the Fourth celebration that a smattering of reveals, giveaways, and a $25 coupon code. If you are a Boba Fett fan, their first reveal is a life-sized Boba Fett – more reveals follow throughout the weekend. Slave I – Boba Fett’s Spaceship

Re-enact some of the coolest adventures in the epic film The Empire Strikes Back with this incredible Slave I Boba Fett’s Spaceship vehicle! Put a figure (sold separately) in the swiveling cockpit and load the vehicle’s missiles and bombs. Then pivot its wings for takeoff and send the ship into battle! When enemies attack, rotate the cannon to fire at them, then release the bombs on them! Put the included Han Solo in Carbonite figure in the detention cell or the cargo bay for a mission to collect a bounty.
