Weekend Toy Run: Save up to 50% at Shop DC Entertainment’s 2nd Black Friday Sale

ShopDCEntertainment Black Friday Returns

I know it’s the holiday season and that we should expect sales, but I’m exhibiting my crotchety old man ways and hating on the overuse of terms like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the like. A couple weeks ago, I was at my front door screaming at the neighborhood kids to get off my lawn when I heard about Brown Thursday and Mattycollector’s 8 Day Cyber Monday Week that started on Tuesday, and nearly had an aneurysm. [/rant]

This weekend, you’ll be able to pick up a bunch of stuff from DC Collectibles at Shop DC Entertainment’s “Black Friday Returns!” sale. For example, the MAD Just-Us-League figures are back on sale for over half off. But there’s even more stuff – 337 items in total on sale, including action figures, busts, statues, phone cases, and clothing. The sale features DC merchandise from other partners too, including Mattel (Man of Steel and DC Unlimited stuff), Square Enix Play Arts Kai figures from Arkham, DC LEGO sets, and DC Mimobots from Mimoco, to name a few. There’s even the Hot Toys Camo Tumbler.

The best discounts are on the DC Collectibles stuff, as you might expect. I’m just trying to prep myself for the next couple of Black Fridays until Christmas (which thankfully falls on a Wednesday) is over. Bah humbug!

DC Collectibles MAD Just-Us League Figures on Sale for $9.99 for Cyber Monday

I’ve always been a MAD Magazine fan, and Alfred E. Neuman as our favorite DC characters is a hoot – and now the action figures are a lot more affordable as part of DC Entertainment’s Cyber Monday deals. All of the MAD Just-Us League Figures are on sale for $9.99 (regularly $22.95).

All the big guys are there, with the exception of Batman, proving again that Batman is better than Superman… at least until Ben Affleck puts on the mask. 😉

DC Collectibles Reveals New 52 Teen Titans Kid Flash, Superboy, and Wonder Girl

DC Collectibles has been playing the Spoiler Alert game over the past week, and have revealed a trio of New 52 Teen Titans. Pretty tricksy, DCC – three figures instead of one was a pretty clever way of confusing the folks guessing, but there were still a few that put it all together.

Big question is this – where’s Robin? Will he round out a wave of these figures, or are these three it for now? I guess the answer will be in the upcoming solicits.

We’ve reached the end and are ready to unveil what we’ve been teasing the last few day: DC COMICS — THE NEW 52 TEEN TITANS: KID FLASH, SUPERBOY & WONDER GIRL ACTION FIGURES. How many of you guessed correctly? What do you think?

Weekend Toy Run: Batman Arkham City Action Figures on Sale Today Only at Entertainment Earth

I hope you’ve been paying attention to Entertainment Earth’s lead-up to Black Friday – a sale every day for 38 days. Today only, the deal is for selected Arkham City figures from DC Collectibles for $12.99 each. I’m wondering if that Ra’s al Ghul head is a better option for the DC Universe Classics Ra’s.

DC Collectibles Shows Off the New 52 Lex Luthor in Video Preview

DC Collectibles New 52 Lex Luthor preview

DC Collectibles featured this deluxe Lex Luthor previously, in a video blog about digital sculpting the New 52 Lex. It’s nice to see the finished sculpt – it’s got a removable helmet and 20+ points of articulation.

Still, there’s a long way to go, as Lex isn’t due to hit shelves until May next year. By then he’ll surely have a new costume (if he doesn’t already…)
