DC Universe Classics Club Infinite Earths 2013 Press Pics

It feels like the push to subscribe to Mattel’s DC Universe Club Infinite Earths for 2013 hasn’t been quite as strong as Mattel’s effort for the Masters of the Universe Classics Club Eternia, but judging from the thermometer, it’s probably more severe. Mattel’s posted pics of the potential DC subscription figures on their Facebook page.

Be sure to  subscribe to Club Infinite Earths, if you want to see these figures on your shelves.

2013 subscriptions sales are on now and only through Aug 6th on Mattycollector.com! If we don’t hit the min number of sub holders we will likely do fewer figures at higher prices. But here’s hoping we don’t have to cross that bridge. Find out all the details now over on Mattycollector.com and enjoy the pics!

And hey, DC fans, don’t foget about our great Watchmen figures as well. Also avail as a sub and only through Aug 6th only on Mattycollector.com! We’ll get images of them up as well in the next few days.

On Preview Night, Mattel showed us their Club Infinite Earths Black Mask and Poison Ivy production samples in 6 inches (we had seen them in 2-up format at Toy Fair). Earlier today, at their MattyPalooza panel, Mattel showed us the figures that would round out this year and kick off the subscription next year.

SDCC 2012: Mattel Announces DC Universe Watchmen Six-Figure Line

DC Universe Watchmen (1280x720).jpg

During Mattel’s MattyPalooza panel at San Diego Comic-Con today, they announced that the mystery line they had been teasing will be for a comics-based Watchmen line, to be exclusively offered on MattyCollector.com. There will be six figures, one every other month in 2013, starting with Rorschach and Doctor Manhattan. Presumably we will see Nite Owl (not Owlman like I originally posted – thanks to Matt for pointing out my typo), Silk Spectre, Ozymandias, and my most anticipated, the Comedian.

DC Universe Classics Cosmic Odyssey

Cosmic Odyssey - group.jpg

I’ve often joked that Mattel and the Four Horsemen created the DC Universe Classics line so they could make every character from the epic comic from Jim Starlin and Mike Mignola that is Cosmic Odyssey – but seeing all these figures together, spanning the entire life to-date of this toy line, you have to admit that I may be onto something. The very first wave of the line gave us Batman, Etrigan, and Orion. That’s THREE out of the five figures in the first wave, all from Cosmic Odyssey!

And in the very first year of the DC subscription, the club exclusive figure is Metron – the New God whose quest for knowledge about the Anti-Life equation serve as the catalyst for the events in Cosmic Odyssey. Admit it – you think I’m right!
