Here’s a closer look at the Batman Begins Demon Batman and Scarecrow exclusive Hot Toys figure set, celebrating Hot Toys’ 10th Anniversary. This set will be available in Japan at Hot Toys’ 10th anniversary celebration event. This set will be priced at around $348 dollars (converted from 28,000 Japanese Yen) and limited to 4,000 pieces, if I read the translation correctly.

I’m not too jazzed about the Demon Bats, but I may need to find a way to get the Scarecrow on his own.

DC Universe Classics Wave 14 Packaged Pics

DC Universe Classics Wave 14 - half case (900x1200).jpg

I’m not quite sure how, but trs from the Fwoosh, who got us some really early packaged pics of DC Universe Classics wave 11 almost a year ago, has done it again. Now he has got his hands on what is probably one of the first sets of the Wal-Mart exclusive wave 14 in the United States – at least not ones that fell out of the back of a truck in China.

He is guessing that these will start hitting Wal-Marts within the next two weeks. He particularly liked how Zatanna turned out, and I’m inclined to agree!

I’ll hold off on my final thoughts until I have these in hand, but I am concerned about a trend of larger heads. Guy Gardner has giant head syndrome from the Green Lantern’s Light 5-pack, and OMAC has it from wave 15. Here it looks like Alan Scott and Obsidian have it too. Could be hereditary, in their case. 😉

DC Universe Classics Wave 15 OMAC

DCUC15 OMAC 013.jpg

OMAC from DC Universe Classics Wave 15 gives us a glimpse of “the world that’s coming” and apparently it’s full of big heads, huge eyes and maximum mohawks! For those too young to remember, OMAC – One Man Army Corps – was another of Jack Kirby’s creations for DC Comics in the 1970’s along with New Gods, Mr. Miracle, The Demon and Kamandi. OMAC is basically a revamp of the Captain America concept, but instead of WWII or even present day, OMAC’s stories are set in the near future or as Kirby phrased it in every issue; “the world that’s coming!”
