DC Universe Classics Gotham City 5 Available on Walmart.com

Wal-Mart has made available online the DC Universe Classics Gotham City 5, the exclusive 5-pack that includes Batman, Superman, Catwoman, Two-Face, and all-new classic jump-suited Lex Luthor.  This set was very difficult to find a few weeks back, and I’ve heard lots of reports of folks finding sets that had been tampered with, so this may be the best option for you to track this down.

They also have the DC Infinite Heroes Teen Titans 6-pack, containing Robin, Cyborg, Raven, Arsenal, Monsieur Mallah, and the Brain.  There’s only a couple of guys I know that are collecting these, but I know of a few more that are looking to pick this set up just for the Brain, as it’s large enough to work in the DCUC scale.

They have the Site to Store option on both items, if you want to save on shipping costs.

Hot Toys Launches DX The Dark Knight Joker at DX Day

A week ago we posted pics of the final production headshots if the Hot Toys DX The Dark Knight Joker.  The Hot Toys blog entry for the headshots also announced DX Day a week ago.  Here’s a video showing the DX Day events, where lots of Hot Toys fans get a hands-on of the Joker.

The DX line features the new Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS), and it’s put to great use in the updated Joker.  Not only is the clothing much improved over the initial Joker release, the DX also comes with an additional head and police uniform so you can recreate the Jim Gordon assassination attempt.

Have you ordered this bad boy yet?  The cheapest I’ve seen him for pre-order (coming December 9) is at TFAW.com – Hot Toys Dark Knight Policeman Joker 1/6 Scale Figure for $156. That’s cheaper than I paid – doh!

Superman Batman: Public Enemies - Brimstone Collect & Connect

Mattel posted a massive photo update to their Facebook page today, covering DC Universe Classics Wave 11 and Superman Batman: Public Enemies.

Best Buy Superman Batman: Public Enemies Exclusive Batman Figure

Fwoosher PJ picked up the exclusive Batman figure that’s included in the special edition of Superman Batman: Public Enemies on sale at Best Buy today. He confirms that the figure is indeed from DC Direct, contrary to what I posted yesterday. I’m not sure why DCD told me the figure wasn’t theirs when I asked them about it.

I picked up the Best Buy Superman/Batman Public Enemies DVD today and the promo figure is a DCD figure. It says it on the box and base of the figure. It’s just like the New Frontier Green Lantern and Batman vs Dracula figures were. He’s just a new sculpt (like Bats & Dracula were) and not a scaled down figure like the new Frontier figure was. Here’s some pics-

Wal-Mart Exclusive DC Universe Classics Wave 10

After what many experienced with DC Universe Classics Wave 5, the last Wal-Mart exclusive wave, some people have been skeptical about Mattel’s claim that Wave 10 would be more broadly distributed, since Wal-Mart increased the size of their order.  So it’s a huge relief to have these figures in hand – at least I imagine that’s how the people who’ve actually found them feel, because I’m still in a holding pattern with Forager, who VeeBee at the Fwoosh was kind enough to pass my way for my Cosmic Odyssey display.

These photos and quick thoughts on the DCUC 10 figures are from Buzzy Fret, who found these figures at a regular Wal-Mart down in Gainesville, Florida.  After you’re done here, check out Buzzy Fret Customs – he’s done a lot with DCUC base figures recently, and I’ll be commissioning a Robin from him soon.
