Anyone remember these? They’re Bruce Lee Minimates, back when they were still 3-inches large, and back when Tower Records still existed and you could find toys at specialty retailers. These Minimates are from my father-in-law’s pop culture collection. He was also into comics, so there was always something cool to read or new to check out. These Bruce Lee Minimates got me hooked on the large Star Trek Minimates, then the small ones, then the Marvel and DC lines.
It’s kind of nuts that Minimates are a decade old. Congrats to the Art Asylum alums and the Diamond Select crew. I can’t wait to check out the Minimates exhibit at NYCC!
I saw this Silver Surfer bottle opener and immediately thought of that awesome Galactus cosplayer – anyone have a link? This could be the perfect accessory for even the casual Galactus wannabe, although “I’M THIRSTY!” doesn’t quite have the same ring as “I HUNGER!”
Maybe “BEER ME, MY HERALD”… Nah, I didn’t think so.

Ever since Deadpool shrunk Rhino with Pym Particles, I’ve been enamored of having a miniature Rhino of my own, to dangle from my keychain. I used a Heroclix one for my 12-inch Deadpool custom (part of my Marvel Legends Icons Agency X customs), but Heroclix would be too small for me. This Minimates version looks like the solution.
