Art Asylum and Diamond Select Toys Shipping Update

Art Asylum / Diamond Select Toys has updated their list of upcoming shipping dates. Hitting today are the re-releases of the Marvel Select Hulk and Iron Man figures.

I was surprised to see the Star Trek TOS Series 5 and Salt Vampire on the TBD list, because I thought those had already been scheduled.

Ghostbusters Minimates Series 3

Looks like those Minimates Visual Guides are already out of date! 😉

Here’s the latest Ghostbuster Minimates, with two fan favorites in Peck and Janine, and completing the marshmallow covered trio with Egon and Winston.

New Ghostbuster Minimates Revealed

The expanding Ghostbusters Minimates line is the surprise hit of the year, invading both specialty stores and Toys R Us locations across the country. Announced today, that excitement will carry forward into the next specialty store release – the Ghostbusters Minimates Series 3 Box Set available for retailer pre-order in the November issue of the Diamond Previews catalog!

Building on the sets already begun in earlier waves, this knockout box set delivers the final members of the marshmallow-covered crew – Gooey Egon and Winston (Peter Venkmann cleverly avoided the incident) – as well as Ghostbusters 2 versions of both EPA lawyer Walter Peck and Ghostbusters receptionist Janine Melnitz!

Each Ghostbusters Minimate stands two inches tall and features 14 points of articulation as well as a host of removable and interchangeable parts and accessories. Pre-order this set now with your local comic store or favorite online retailer and get ready for the next chapter in the Ghostbusters Minimates saga as the spring 2010 release date approaches!

Diamond Select Toys Announces Battlestar Galactica Series 4

I’m old enough to have watched the original Battlestar Galactica in prime time, but I haven’t yet watched this. Should I?

Battlestar Galactica Series 4 Returns!

The long-awaited fourth assortment of Battlestar Galactica action figures is finally heading to comic and specialty stores with a new configuration combining the best of the original assortment with a new oft-requested addition!

First up in the new Series 4 lineup is everyone’s favorite short-tempered tyrant originally offered as a Previews Exclusive and now part of the main assortment – Admiral Helena Cain. Also familiar to fans is the second figure in the wave, Admiral William Adama – distinguished from his Toys R Us release by the inclusion of his signature mustache! Rounding out the all-star assortment is the brand-new highly-awaited debut of Gaius Baltar in his signature Presidential attire as featured in the series’ second and third seasons.

With new Battlestar Galactica figures appearing in comic stores, as retailer exclusives and in Toys “R” Us stores, we’re creating a visual guide for the Art Asylum blog to help fans keep track of all the upcoming releases.
