I’m not sure “Marvel Monday” is really a thing, but it certainly feels that way with these two updates. First, the official Marvel Store is running an up-to-25% off deal, today only, with the “MARVELMONDAY” code. You have to add $100 to your cart to qualify for the full 25%, or $50 for 15% – you’ll qualify for free shipping too. Marvel Select is already on sale for $20 each, but where it can really pay off is in the collectibles section, where that 25% off makes a big dent in Hot Toys items.
And, thanks to our pal Rodney, who gave us the heads-up that pre-orders for the Marvel Legends Allfather series have started popping up on eBay. This listing for the Allfather has all seven figures (Captain Marvel, Sentry, Hawkeye, Machine Man, Scarlet Witch, Thor, and Iron Fist) up for $159. That’s not that bad of a deal when you consider free shipping – 9 sets left as of this morning. Happy shopping!
Marvel.com is running its annual Veteran’s Day sale, and there’s a whole lot of good deals on the site for 25% off and free shipping for orders over $50 (code: MARVELHERO). You’ll find the usual suspects – Marvel Select figures from Diamond Select Toys, Funko head bobblers, and even LEGO sets. If you’ve got the hankering for some Marvel tees, they’ve even got a few you can customize, like this Guardians of the Galaxy t-shirt for the guys, and this SHIELD tee for the ladies. But the biggest bang for your buck is on the Hot Toys in the Marvel Shop Collectibles section. For example, the Hot Toys Tony Stark Mechanic figure from Iron Man 3 is currently available. You’ll save more than just a couple of bucks this way (enough for some good BBQ), and the best part is that the Marvel Shop is listing Sideshow exclusive version, with Tony Stark’s kitbashed repulsor.
As you might expect this holiday, they are sold out of the Hot Toys Iron Patriot (they have him in bobble-head format), but they’ve got a few Marvel Select Captain America figures, including the Falcon.
Banking on the success of Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past hit movie, Diamond Select Toys have announced a comics-based Marvel Minimates boxed set for San Diego Comic-Con, featuring Wolverine, Kitty Pryde, Mystique and a Sentinel. Great choices to tie in to the movie, but I don’t recall Mystique featuring prominently at all in the comic event – but then again she wasn’t being played by J-Law back then and like Wolverine, my memories can’t be trusted. DST is also making an accompanying comic book cover recreating Uncanny X-Men #141, available separately, featuring the Marvel Minimates in place of the comic book characters.
There usually are more Marvel Minimates exclusives during SDCC, and perhaps there are still more to come through DST’s distribution partners. DST also announced a Walking Dead Minimates set, a Sin City Marv exclusive figure, and more from Star Trek, Star Wars, Godzilla, and Jay and Silent Bob. Just over a month to go. Three Marvel Select figures from Diamond Select Toys are on sale for today only. Storm is in her classic, first appearance costume – well, her first appearance after she appeared sans costume showering the farmlands of her home village, where she was considered a goddess. Jane Foster is from Thor: The Dark World and is one half of a matched pair with Thor. Their bases combine to form a larger diorama. And Lizard is from his modern comic appearances.
