ThreeA Toys TKLUB 4 Ronin Oya Sun Up for Pre-Order 11/17 at 9PM EST

TKLUB 4 Ronin Oya Sun 1

The first of four TKLUB figures needed to pick up a classic Tomorrow Queen goes up for pre-order tomorrow at 9PM EST at Bambaland. The Ronin Oya Sun figure is officially TKLUB #4. He includes a big accessory, the Sup Bomb, and is priced at $160 – since it’s a 3AA only release (TKLUB is exclusive to 3AA members), that’s actually $136, shipping included.

Some folks have brought up a good point – with the TKLUB being put up for pre-order roughly two months apart, we may not get a chance to order all four figures needed to qualify for the TQ before 3AA memberships come up for renewal. That would put folks who want the TQ but don’t want to re-up in a quandary. Expect some updates from 3A on this shortly.

Four Horsemen NYCC Exclusive Outer Space Men and Power Lords Staggered Sale Starting Today

Four Horsemen NYCC exclusive Outer Space Men and Power Lords 1 Four Horsemen NYCC exclusive Outer Space Men and Power Lords 2

The NYCC exclusives from the Four Horsemen go on sale at StoreHorsemen in a couple of hours this afternoon, starting with the Outer Space Men at 3PM EST. This will be followed by a Fan Club-only 48-hour window for the Power Lords at 3PM EST tomorrow. And if there’s any remaining in stock, the Power Lords sale opens up to everyone at 3PM EST on Saturday.

They’ve made it clear that this time there’ll be no additional inventory made. So when these sell out, they’re gone, and any sales accidentally made over the allotted inventory will be canceled. So bear with the store potentially crapping out on you and get that sale done. And if you’re not a member of the Power Lords Fan Club, maybe now is the time to get signed up. Good luck and happy shopping!

Weekend Toy Run: Marvel Universe Iron Man 3 Hall of Armor 6-Pack

Iron Man 3 Marvel Hall of Armor Collection Action Figure 1 Iron Man 3 Marvel Hall of Armor Collection Action Figure 2

Amidst all this diecast Iron Man goodness from Play Imaginative, let’s not forget that there’s already a line of Iron Man action figures that could satisfy your urge to build a hall of armor. Sure, the Marvel Universe figures from Hasbro are all plastic, not diecast, but that combined with their smaller size means they’re a lot easier on the wallet, too.

However, this six-pack of figures has been selling in the neighborhood of $100 on the secondary market – while 4 of the figures are repacks with the ARC Reactor glow, the Mark 42 and the Tony Stark figures are exclusive to the set. And the only other way to get a Mark 42 in this scale is via the Assemblers line, which is not as articulated. Luckily, the set is now more abundant, and Amazon has it on sale.

Note: Just saw that Wal-Mart has the Iron Man 3 Hall of Armor for the same price, but you have to get to $50 to get free shipping.

NYCC 2013: Mattel Reveals 2014 Updates for DC and Masters of the Universe at Mattypalooza (Video)

NYCC 2013 - Mattypalooza - Robot Faker Reveal

Mattycollector front man Toy Guru, accompanied by Cornboy and Eric Treadaway from the Four Horsemen, updated New York Comic Con attendees with Mattel’s collector-oriented plans for 2014. For their healthiest line, Masters of the Universe Classics, it was business as usual, but with Stan Lee’s Comikaze in a couple of weeks, the reveals were at a minimum – Flogg from New Adventures and a tease of Robot Faker. On the fan vote for New Adventures 2015, Mara won – no big surprise, as I’m sure many people who did vote but didn’t care about New Adventures just went for the female character.

On the DC front, the four revealed figures for the failed 2014 Club Infinite Earths sub will be released as day of figures quarterly, with the jail-suited Doomsday as a SDCC 2014 exclusive. I have a hard time understanding the jail suit over the infinitely better “unleashed” version – I can’t believe that the better sales numbers that version would yield didn’t justify the increased tooling.

And there’s more – check out our video of the panel. We missed a small portion when the recording hit the limit, but that was just Two Bad and Glimmer, and you’ve seen them before, right?

NYCC 2013: Mattypalooza Booth Updates

Our video update of the Mattypalooza panel at New York Comic-Con is coming up. In the meantime, here’s some quick pics of Mattel’s booth after the panel.

The DC Universe Classics sub lives – kind of. Doomsday is an SDCC exclusive – kind of. Total Heroes will satisfy fans with Mattycollector offerings – kind of. I’ll try to be a glass half full guy from now on – kind of. For Masters of the Universe Classics, it’s Extendar and Flogg steaming up the display cabinets. Toy Guru is holding firm on the no Unnamed One reveal until he shows up on your doorstep (if you subbed!)
