DC Universe Classics Cosmic Odyssey

Cosmic Odyssey - group.jpg

I’ve often joked that Mattel and the Four Horsemen created the DC Universe Classics line so they could make every character from the epic comic from Jim Starlin and Mike Mignola that is Cosmic Odyssey – but seeing all these figures together, spanning the entire life to-date of this toy line, you have to admit that I may be onto something. The very first wave of the line gave us Batman, Etrigan, and Orion. That’s THREE out of the five figures in the first wave, all from Cosmic Odyssey!

And in the very first year of the DC subscription, the club exclusive figure is Metron – the New God whose quest for knowledge about the Anti-Life equation serve as the catalyst for the events in Cosmic Odyssey. Admit it – you think I’m right!

DC Universe Classics Super Friends

Super Friends - group.jpg

I’ve been taking pictures of some of action figure groups I have on my shelves, but this collection of the heroes that appeared on the Hanna Barbera Super Friends cartoon isn’t one of them. If you’re a fan of 6-inch DC action figures, there’s still plenty of stuff coming our way this year!

Toy Fair 2012 – Four Horsemen Toypocalypse 2 – Futuretro

Toypocalypse 2 - Outer Space Men (1280x853).jpg

The Four Horsemen kicked off Toy Fair 2012 with Toypocalypse 2 – Futuretro, the second installment of their toy art show. Like last year’s Toypocalypse, the 4H had a whole mess of goodness on display, and they also added a display case from Onell Designs and a wall of custom action figures and artwork for their Outer Space Men “Futuretro” line.

Over the past couple of years, Spy Monkey has been producing weapons that toy collectors can use with their 6/7″ action figures, mostly geared towards Masters of the Universe figures.
