AFP Hasbro G.I. JOE Q&A for 10/22/10

It took a little bit longer than normal, but the G.I. JOE team at Hasbro is back with another round of Q&A.

1) We’re all excited about the G.I. Joe Renegades show on the Hub premiering November 26. When will we start hearing about toy lines to support the show?

G.I. Joe product inspired by characters and themes from the upcoming G.I. Joe Renegades series on the Hub will be available in Fall 2011. The figures will be offered in the Pursuit of Cobra line and will have the highly-detailed, realistic look of the line.

Let us visit the Arctics in this 2-part pic review of some G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra Arctic Threat Mission toys!

With the Pursuit of Cobra line, Hasbro has chosen to divide the toys into different missions which showcase different locations. I’ve seen 4 different missions so far: City Strike, Desert Battle, Jungle Assault and the one we’re taking a look at today, Arctic Threat. The Arctic Threat’s mission is, according to the packaging, as follows: ” The G.I. Joe Team breaks into a Cobra Base that’s hiding powerful new technology! ” Pretty simple right? I personally like it, it gives kids (and adults) a starting point for play. We got the Joe vehicle Wolf Hound (with White Out) for the first installment, then we get to Destro and Snow Job for the second one.

On to the Wolf Hound pic review!

TNA Deluxe Impact S1 Sting 024.jpg

Speaking of Free Stuff, a couple of weeks ago we asked you to supply a caption for this pic of Sting and Triple H, from Buzzy’s review of the TNA Sting.

I picked the winner this time around, and the caption comes from Ayeffkay (full disclosure – I know the guy):

Sting: Behold! Watermelons are like upside-down rainbows! When we find the leprechaun’s gold, I’m going to buy you some goddamn pants.

Triple H: Give me that! When >I< find the leprechaun’s gold, I’m going to buy you a speedo.

I gave him bonus points for the sly reference to Hornswoggle. Congrats, Ayeffkay!

Stay tuned for Sandman’s review of the G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra Snow Job and more, coming soon.

G.I. Joe, Marvel, Star Wars, and Transformers – September Press Pics

Hasbro has shared a ton of pictures (101 of them!) of upcoming products across its boys toys lines – GI Joe, Marvel, Star Wars, and Transformers were all represented this time around. We’ll start with GI Joe – they only included one shot versus the bunch they included in the August press pics, but Sandman is liking the new line. He picked up Beachhead and the Alley Viper first, and then Firefly a few days later.
