Hasbro Avengers Movie Promo Vault Box Contents

I had no idea when I posted the teaser pic for this Hasbro Avengers Movie promo package that it’d take me a week to post the contents. So sorry for the wait – I’ve been a little pre-occupied at The Fwoosh celebrating our 10th anniversary of being on the interwebs. Hopefully I can make it up to you by confirming that we will indeed be getting this whole package into the hands of some lucky Fwoosher.

The box, which I’m calling the Avengers Vault, holds a bunch of stuff. It’s got the four main Avengers in the 4-inch scale – Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk. It’s also got a 10-inch Ultimate Hero Hulk that packs an electronic voice chip with lots of entertaining sound bites and effects. And if role play is your thing, it’s got Iron Man’s repulsor, Cap’s mask, and yes! – the return of Hulk hands! As cool as all the goodies are, one of the coolest things about the box is the box itself.

Hasbro Marvel Press Pics – Loki’s Army and Ultimate Spider-Man

Hasbo released some press pics (the first in a while):

  • Loki’s Army 3.75 inch figure
  • Loki’s Army 3.75-INCH POWER-UP MISSION PACKS
  • 6-inch Spider-Man Ultimate Comics Spider-Man
  • Marvel Universe Spider-Man variant

With the Avengers movie just two weeks away, the embargo is lifted on revealing the otherworldy creatures that serve Loki. We first saw a 7-inch Marvel Select version of Loki’s Army at C2E2, and it’s no surprise that Hasbro would also have its own versions, one single carded and one deluxe version.

Dave Vonner told us at Hasbro’s Toy Fair Marvel Universe presentation that we’d be seeing a Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man variant in Marvel Universe this year, but we hadn’t heard that a 6-inch version was coming too. I am going to guess the 6-incher will go to the Spider-Man line, instead of Marvel Legends, unless Legends is going back to bases instead of build-a-figure parts.

Hasbro Marvel Avengers Promo Package Teaser Pic

In just under three weeks, Marvel Studios launches the opening salvo in the big summer movie wars with The Avengers. It’s not surprising that Hasbro would have a promo package to support the accompanying toy lines. Still, I was not expecting to find this sitting at my door yesterday. I have been talking with our good friends at Hunter PR (they handle the Hasbro boys lines) about doing a giveaway for Fwoosh’s 10 year anniversary – more to come on that. But we had talked about something completely different.

So we’ll see – this could end up in the Free Stuff pile in support of the Fwoosh 10. I have not had a chance to open it yet, and that Marvel Universe Thor didn’t come with the package – I just wanted an Avenger there for size reference. Stay tuned!

Return of Marvel Legends Terrax Wave – Hope Summers

Now for your consideration – the ROML Terrax Wave Figure 2 – Hope Summers.

I haven’t read an X-Men book since reading the TPB collections of the Whedon/Cassady run on Astonishing X-Men, so I knew absolutely zilch about this character. But from a quick Google search I learned that Hope is Cable’s adopted mutant daughter that he whisked away to the future to raise and keep safe from those that think her to be a danger to mankind.

Return Of Marvel Legends Terrax Wave – Steve Rogers Super Soldier

True Believers, Marvel Zombies and No Prize winners rejoice; Marvel Legends has returned!

Both ROML Terrax Wave and Arnim Zola Wave are hitting stores and online dealers now and the toy collecting F.O.O.M.* are in a feeding frenzy. I was lucky enough to be at my local Target on a morning when a fresh case had been put on the pegs and couldn’t resist picking up Steve Rogers, Extremis Iron Man and Thor. Later in the day, I went back for Ghost Rider, but he was gone. In a fit of anger and remorse, I scooped up Constrictor and Hope. Klaw was nowhere to be seen.

And now, without further ado, here’s the skinny on ROML Terrax Wave Figure #1, the ML with the longest title; Commander Steve Rogers – Super Soldier!
