Iron Man 2 Comic Series Wave 2 Available on HasbroToyShop.com

Iron Man Comic Series Wave 2.jpg

I’ve been hunting for these figures since Ash Talon reviewed Iron Man 2 Comic Series wave 2. I was particularly impressed with the Hulkbuster Iron Man and Titanium Man. I haven’t yet seen them at retail, but today I checked HasbroToyShop.com and found them all available there.

I just placed my order. Happy hunting!

AFP Hasbro Marvel Q&A Roundup for 5/26/10

The Hasbro Marvel brand team is back with another round of Q&A. Thanks guys!

1) A couple of months ago, you revealed some new Iron Man 2 3.75-inch figures we hadn’t seen before – Black Widow, Nick Fury, and unmasked versions of Iron Man in the Mark VI armor and War Machine. When should we expect to see those on shelves? Will they be widely available or exclusive to a retailer? Will Iron Man and War Machine come with interchangeable heads for their masked looks?

These will arrive in store this fall (closer to DVD timing in October) at various retailers. We do not yet have confirmed launch dates from the retailers – so keep your eyes peeled! And, yes, they will come with their masked looks as well.

Whiplash Mark II – if you haven’t seen Iron Man 2 yet, sorry for the spoiler, and where have you been the past couple of weeks? – this is the first 6-inch scaled custom I’ve seen of the armor that Ivan Danko builds for the climactic showdown – ends May 26, 2010 19:29:35 PDT

AFP Hasbro G.I. JOE Q&A for 5/23/10

The G.I. JOE team at Hasbro is back with another round of Q&A. If you recall, of the questions submitted, they’ll respond to a number of them of their choosing for the initial round of answers. Then in a couple of days, they’ll send out all the answers to all the questions for the current round. This time we got two out of three answered.

1) Have you ever considered releasing the figures you pack in vehicles like the Motor Viper / Nitro Viper or the upcoming Desert Scorpion in army builder friendly packs? More people would like to build squads but not have to buy 6 vehicles, for example.

Steel Crusher APV with Nitro Viper

Great suggestion. This is not currently in our plan but we will consider this type of pack in the future.

Hasbro Marvel San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives Press Pics – ToyFare 155

Lots of coverage of San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives in the latest ToyFare magazine, so pick up your copy today. We first heard about the Marvel Universe Ultimate Captain America and Ages of Thunder Thor exclusives back at Toy Fair – yes, ToyFare (the magazine) and Toy Fair (the industry show) – I still get confused.

And we knew the one who hungers was coming to retail, but just found out about the SDCC version of the Marvel Universe Galactus recently.  He’ll come with the lights and sounds, but won’t come with Silver Surfer. I’m still trying to fathom just how big the cardback is going to be. I know it says 27 inches, but it’s hard to wrap my brain around that. Awesome!

EXCLUSIVE: Hasbro Marvel SDCC Exclusives

If you picked up ToyFare #155 (on sale now, donchaknow!), you have borne witness to something pretty awesome: three of Hasbro’s sure-to-be-red-hot exclusives for July’s San Diego Comic-Con. But since the only glimpse we gave you of Ultimate Captain America and Ages of Thunder Thor was our super-artsy cover image, I decided to throw some more images up on our blog of the figures under non-fancy lighting. Please note that these were prototypes, so the final paints probably won’t end up looking exactly like this. Ready for your WORLD-EXCLUSIVE?

And just for good measure, here’s the other Marvel SDCC exclusive from Hasbro: the 19-inch Galactus in an exclusive 27-inch tall blister card, featuring artwork by Joe Quesada!
