Thanks to folks who had early access to the Ani-Com show floor during setup, we’ve got our first looks at the upcoming Hot Toys releases for The Dark Knight Rises Catwoman / Selina Kyle and the Avengers Hulk.

I was expecting to see this after Ani-Com this weekend but Hot Toys just revealed the Mark VII Iron Man. With so many previous Iron Man figures already released, they’ve added a lot to this figure, including switchable plates that allow both pristine and battle-damaged looks, an unmasked Tony Stark head, light-up features, and all the flaps and gadgets you’ve come to expect.

When I first rounded up the upcoming Hot Toys Avengers line-up, I joked that we only needed Phil Coulson and Maria Hill to complete the cast. Now we’re down to Maria Hill. The “Son of Coul” looks like he’ll come with the mystery SHIELD weapon and a set of Captain America cards (hopefully not bloodied).
The Chitauri footsoldier looks here like it’s at an earlier stage of development, but Hot Toys says both prototypes will be at Ani-Com in Hong Kong this weekend, along with the Hulk and the Mark VII Iron Man. For these two figures in particular, I wonder how many folks are thinking of army building for other SHIELD agents and the Chitauri invasion force. I’d like to, but I’d need to win the lottery first.

A couple of Hot Toys quickies tonight. First up, a couple of teases from The Dark Knight Rises. I’m sure Anne Hathaway got more than a few engines revving when she hopped on the Bat Pod. As the tease was double-billed as Catwoman and Selina Kyle, I’m wondering if we won’t see more than the skin-tight cat suit for this figure – would Hot Toys go so far as to give us a French maid’s uniform?
Interesting for Hot Toys to be going into the 1/4 scale size. I’d expect this Batman to have more detail and more accessories, but am curious as to what they will do with the articulation in the larger size. We’ll stay tuned to news from Ani-Com Hong Kong this weekend, where they will be revealing both figures. Wish I could be there!

I’ve been waiting for Hot Toys to reveal their version of Bane, and with The Dark Knight Rises opening on July 20, they waited almost until the last moment. Judging by the coincidental reveal of the Camouflaged Tumbler, I guess Bane is going to have a Batmobile to call his own.
