Wow. This is great timing for this announcement. With Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in heavy cable rotation right now, I’ve been jonesing (honestly, no pun intended) for some Indy toys. With the DX designation, I think it means we’ll be getting a PERS (parallel eyeball rolling system) version of Indy, with a ton of accessories too.
DX also usually means multiple outfits – I wonder if we’ll see an Egyptian or Nazi outfit.

Kevin Flynn joins his son (Sam Flynn and his Light Cycle were announced about two weeks ago) as the second Hot Toys figure from TRON: Legacy. I think the head sculpt needs to be tweaked a little bit. I do see Jeff Bridges in it, but I think the eyes are a little too close together and slope down too much. We’ll see if Hot Toys will adjust this ahead of release.

I can’t remember the last time I felt that a Hot Toys figure was lacking that something extra special, but I was expecting a bit more from this announcement. There’s lots of things I think that Hot Toys could do to spice this up – throw in the black costume, give us an unmasked head, and maybe even a ripped mask to go over that unmasked head.
As it stands right now, this looks like a perfectly serviceable Spidey for your 12-inch collection, but I think I’d need more to feel compelled to pick one up.
