Weekend Toy Run: Marvel Monday Brings Us 25% Off the Marvel Store and Marvel Legends Allfather on eBay

I’m not sure “Marvel Monday” is really a thing, but it certainly feels that way with these two updates. First, the official Marvel Store is running an up-to-25% off deal, today only, with the “MARVELMONDAY” code. You have to add $100 to your cart to qualify for the full 25%, or $50 for 15% – you’ll qualify for free shipping too. Marvel Select is already on sale for $20 each, but where it can really pay off is in the collectibles section, where that 25% off makes a big dent in Hot Toys items.

And, thanks to our pal Rodney, who gave us the heads-up that pre-orders for the Marvel Legends Allfather series have started popping up on eBay. This listing for the Allfather has all seven figures (Captain Marvel, Sentry, Hawkeye, Machine Man, Scarlet Witch, Thor, and Iron Fist) up for $159. That’s not that bad of a deal when you consider free shipping – 9 sets left as of this morning. Happy shopping!

Weekend Toy Run: Hot Toys Batman, Superman, and Iron Man Get Sideshow Cyber Monday Savings

Sideshow is upping the discounts on selected 1/6 scale Hot Toys figures from their DC and Marvel licenses. Many of these items were already on sale for 10 – 30% off (and many other items are still at those discount levels) for Black Friday but are now seeing even bigger discounts on Cyber Monday. See all the deals on Sideshow’s Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale page.

And be sure to check out the rest of the deals we found this weekend. Happy shopping!

Weekend Toy Run: Hot Toys Batman and Robin (1960s TV Series) Bundle and More

Hot Toys Batman (1966) 02

If you’ve been on the fence about picking up the Hot Toys Batman and Robin from the ’60s television show, you might have found the right weekend to do so. Right now, Sideshow Collectibles is offering a bundled deal for the pair – add the Dynamic Duo to your cart and you’ll get another 5% off the discounted price (already almost $40 off) plus free shipping and extra rewards points (to the tune of $35.55). Batman and Robin are also on sale individually, but in this case I can’t see getting one without the other, especially with the 5% kicker.

But maybe the ’60s isn’t your thing – if not, they are also offering another bundle for the Sideshow Collectibles Batman and Hot Toys Bank Robber Joker. Both are awesome figures more suited for your dark and gritty Batman tastes. You’ll get 15% off the regular price for each and free shipping.

These bundles expire at the end of the month, and the free shipping is for domestic U.S. shipping only. Happy shopping!

Weekend Toy Run: Invincible Deals on Hot Toys and More at Marvel.com

Marvel.com is running its annual Veteran’s Day sale, and there’s a whole lot of good deals on the site for 25% off and free shipping for orders over $50 (code: MARVELHERO). You’ll find the usual suspects – Marvel Select figures from Diamond Select Toys, Funko head bobblers, and even LEGO sets. If you’ve got the hankering for some Marvel tees, they’ve even got a few you can customize, like this Guardians of the Galaxy t-shirt for the guys, and this SHIELD tee for the ladies. All of the customizable gear is available for men, women, and kids. Want a tee with just Rocket and Groot on it? Just hit the “Customize it!” button.

But the biggest bang for your buck is on the Hot Toys in the Marvel Shop Collectibles section. Even with the slight markup on the Marvel site, the 25% off and free shipping nets you the best prices you can get this weekend. For example, the Hot Toys Tony Stark Mechanic figure from Iron Man 3 is currently available. You’ll save more than just a couple of bucks this way (enough for some good BBQ), and the best part is that the Marvel Shop is listing Sideshow exclusive version, with Tony  Stark’s kitbashed repulsor.

As you might expect this holiday, they are sold out of the Hot Toys Iron Patriot (they have him in bobble-head format), but they’ve got a few Marvel Select Captain America figures, including the Falcon.

Hot Toys Announces Wolverine from X-Men: Days of Future Past

Hot Toys DOFP Wolverine 01

If you take Iron Man and his endless armor variants out of the running, then Wolverine would be the Marvel hero with the most Hot Toys figures. They’ve made variants of Logan for a few of the X-Men movies and his two solo endeavors, and now this subtly-aged version from this summer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. Given his popularity from the comics and movies, another Hot Toys Wolverine shouldn’t come as a surprise – and yet I wasn’t fully expecting one.

One recurring theme from both San Diego and New York Comic Cons has been about rumors of Marvel Studios leveraging Marvel’s licensing agreements to withhold support for the movie licenses they let get away to Sony and Fox. Some have pointed out that Marvel is doing it in-house by cancelling the Fantastic Four comic books, and there have been no mass market toys to accompany DOFP – that would feel like a missed opportunity for Hasbro.

Perhaps Hot Toys, as a foreign licensee, is immune. Maybe it’s that high end collectibles are still fair game. Or maybe the Marvel Studios conspiracy theory is just theory. Whatever the case may be, you can pre-order the Hot Toys Wolverine from Days of Future Past from Sideshow. Do it now to save yourself from the impending Sentinel attack!
