Kickstarter Monday: Last Day to Pre-Order Mythic Legions

The Four Horsemen’s Mythic Legions project ended its funding period with just over $450K pledged, making it the most funded action figure on Kickstarter yet. But even though the Kickstarter project is closed, the Four Horsemen have had a pre-order for Mythic Legions available on StoreHorsemen.com – but that opportunity is closing up today at 3PM EST.

While some figures will eventually be available after the production run is complete, this will be your last chance to pre-order exactly what you want. Kickstarter Monday: Punisher Feeling Gun Envy? Support Marauder GR 1/12 Scale Gear

One week left to fund the project

If you’re a Marvel Legends collector, then you’ve probably got at least one Punisher. And that Punisher probably doesn’t have enough guns. Not surprising, since he’s a decidedly R-rated kind of character being sold in kid-friendly stores – tough to package him with a fully-loaded arsenal.

That’s where the Marauder GR 1/12 Scale Gear project on Kickstarter comes in. Marauder wants to do for 6-inch scale figures what they’ve done for 4-inch – supply an armory of realistic, highly-detailed, and customizable weapons. They’ve built a great product line for G.I. JOES and other 4-inch scaled figures over nearly a decade, with a product line of over a hundred items. This project is their first foray into 6-inch scale.

Kickstarter Monday: Boss Fight Studio Skeleton and Four Horsemen Ravens Variants [Updated]

These two Kickstarter campaigns are already past their funding stages, but there’s still exciting developments for this week’s Kickstarter update. Boss Fight Studio was at G.I. JOE Con this weekend, but before they left for the show they gave us a first look at one of the most highly anticipated figures of the Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. campaign. And while the Four Horsemen previously completed fulfillment of the Gothitropolis Ravens and are now ramping up for production on Mythic Legions, they have revisited the former and are making two variant birds available through Action Figure Xpress.

Kickstarter Monday: Build Up Your Weapons Arsenal with Marauder’s 1/12 Scale Gear Project

New Kickstarter project marks the move to 6-inch scale

Marauder is best known for their work in the 1/18 or 4-inch scale. They’ve been in business for about a decade and have produced a lot of weapons and accessories for military figures, like G.I. Joes. Last year, they raised almost $250K on Kickstarter for the Marauder Task Force, a 4-inch scale action figure line featuring a modular system that allows for a lot of easy customization. (Boss Fight Studio, the group behind Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S., designed and sculpted the figures.)

For their latest project, their fourth on Kickstarter, Marauder is returning to weapons and accessories, this time for 6-inch scale figures. One pledge level is for six weapons (4 unique rifles, a pistol, and an RPG) that would be an instant arsenal upgrade for a Marvel Legends Punisher, for example. Another pledge is an army builder pack (4 each of AK-47s, M4s, and commando rifles), great for if you want to give your AIM or Hydra agents some conventional weapons.

Marauder is known for their attention to detail and accuracy, and the weapons will be modular and customizable, via options that will be made available as stretch goals. They are looking to raise a modest $14K, and already have 28 stretch goals planned. New Reveals from Four Horsemen for Mythic Legions Kickstarter Final Day

The Mythic Legions Kickstarter project is in its final day of funding – it’s already surpassed the funding threshold and then all the stretch goals, so all planned figures and accessory packs will go into production. But that hasn’t stopped the Four Horsemen from continuing to reveal new figures, accessories, and deco updates. With one day to go, here are the latest enticements they’ve shared:

Deluxe Barbarian army builder set – available as a $50 add-on, the barbarian includes a ton of interchangeable parts allowing you to give each one you add to your barbarian horde its own unique look
Fantastic Exclusive winner – the Blood Armor champ was designed for the fans, by the fans
Weapons Accessory Pack 4 – at $50, you’ll be getting 10 war standards for your legions to carry into battle, and a bearded axe, just because
Tibius deco update – the Four Horsemen told me they were going to spruce the skeleton champ up a bit to distinguish him from the army builders – he gets war paint on his skull, a tattered cape, and some more paint apps on his armor – the hinged jaw is still a possibility, but isn’t confirmed
Want to go All-In? – backing at $1,050 gets you all the figures and weapons packs, and it’s an even better deal with all the stretch goals unlocked – note that stands are still a separate add-on

Today’s the last day you can back the project. If you’re unsure of what you want (I still don’t know just how many skeletons and orcs I’m getting), I’d encourage you to at least back at any of the $30 pledge levels. From there you’ll be able to access add-ons for about a month after the funding campaign closes tomorrow, via the BackerKit survey the Four Horsemen will send out shortly afterwards.
