Marvel Legends Hulkbuster Wave Hi-Res Pics

Hasbro has released hi-res pics of the upcoming Hulkbuster wave of Marvel Legends, and we’ve got them here in all their glory. The wave consists of War Machine from Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Marvel Now! Iron Man, Doctor Strange, the Vision, Blizzard, a re-do of Valkyrie, and Thundra from the Lady Liberators.

It looks like you’ll have to pick up all seven figures to make the build-a-figure Hulkbuster – not a surprise given its size. Pre-orders have not yet hit for the wave, but I’ll keep searching for Marvel Legends at Entertainment Earth and Amazon, for where I usually find the best deals on cases and individual figures respectively.

Marvel Legends EU Disney Store Exclusive Avengers 5-Pack – High Res Pics

A short while ago we came across an Instagram post of this Avengers-themed Marvel Legends 5-pack. With the Disney Store marking, we learned it was to be exclusive to the retail chain, but only in the European Union stores. Since the exclusive is comprised of re-issued figures, its exclusivity outside the United States wouldn’t raise much interest or concern. However, keen observers noted that a new interchangeable head for Tony Stark was included with Iron Man. Hard to imagine that the smallest piece in this pack could be the most sought after, but stranger things have happened.

Border Patrol: Marvel Legends Daredevil, Deadpool, and Hercules

For this edition of Border Patrol, we’ve got three Marvel Legends customs. One’s from the small screen, another’s from the big screen, and the third is from our favorite source, the good old comic book.

Marvel Legends Daredevil (Netflix) by glennwebman69: Daredevil on Netflix was awesome, and I’d love to have figures from it. But this applies especially to the masked man in black look, which I liked much more than his final Daredevil costume. With the dark tone of show, I’m not surprised Hasbro passed – but I’ve seen some claims that they’ve found Daredevil Legends in an inventory system somewhere. Your guess is as good as mine. Ends April 19 at 2:11PM PST.
Marvel Legends Deadpool (movie) by AC Custom Figures: Seeing Ryan Reynolds in the Deadpool costume has gotten me hyped up for this movie. “@#$% you, Slater!” Let’s just hope the movie doesn’t suck, like Wolverine: Origins. Ends April 19 at 7:00PM PST.
Marvel Legends Hercules by stevidcustoms: Compared to what Hasbro is putting out these days, their earlier effort for the Lion of Olympus was as cheesy as the smile on its face. This custom shows you what should have been. Ends today at 7:30PM PST.

I Am Your Fodder: Marvel Legends Edition

Marvel Legends Constrictor, Madame Masque, and Bucky Captain America on sale

I think most people would admit that Hasbro has hit its groove with Marvel Legends in terms of character selection and execution, but that still doesn’t mean they’re getting to all your favorites from the Marvel universe. Luckily, Amazon has a variety of Marvel Legends on sale that cover the basic body types for your customizing pleasure.

Marvel Universe Constrictor Figure 6 Inches – $7.90 – Hasbro said they would be retiring this body after its use on Iron Fist. I think the base figure has been unfairly maligned lately. While I think the newer hip style is better, and the thighs have seen better days, remember that this body was derived from the old Toy Biz Bullseye.
Marvel Universe Marvels Madames Action Figure Madame Masque, 6 Inches – $9.99 – This body saw a lot of use starting with the SHIELD Agent 2-packs. It’s not as curvy as the newer body used recently on Ms. Marvel, but there’s still a lot of characters that could benefit from the slimmer build.
Marvel Universe Captain America Figure 6 Inches – $11.80 – This is a go-to body for Hasbro now, and deservedly so. Bucky Cap is a great option for fodder if you don’t mind dealing with boot and glove cuffs. Machine Man at $17 is a completely blank base body, if you don’t mind spending a little more.

Transformers Masterpiece Optimus Prime by billmeistercustoms – it’s been a while since I’ve seen a Masterpiece Optimus Prime, but with as many as there have been, and as many as there will be, it makes you wonder just how much more Takara and Hasbro could charge for a metallic paint job – ends Wednesday, April 8 at 11:16AM PST
