Exclusive Marvel Legends Ultron Variant Available with Subscription to Marvel Unlimited Plus

Our good friend Paul wrote in that you can get an exclusive Marvel Legends Ultron variant by subscribing to Marvel’s new Marvel Unlimited Plus membership. Marvel Unlimited Plus expands on the access to Marvel’s digital comics library with discounts on digital comics and on merchandise from MarvelStore.com, and also promises access to special events and promotions related to the various comic conventions.

For action figure fans, Plus comes with a collector’s kit, including the Marvel Legends Ultron, a variant copy of Age of Ultron #10, and a personalized letter and membership card, all in a collectible Age of Ultron comics box. From the pictures it looks like Ultron has a more metallic paint deco than the version that came in Iron Man Legends wave 2, and also has a bright blue color in his mouth consistent with the Age of Ultron look.

Marvel Unlimited Plus costs $99, which is a $30 upsell over the regular Unlimited subscription, if purchased annually. If you subscribe monthly, a regular Unlimited sub would cost you about $120.

Border Patrol: Marvel Legends Ms. Marvel Duo, DC Universe Classics Batman Year Zero, and Transformers Prime Megatron

Marvel Legends Ms. Marvel and Dark Avengers Ms. Marvel by Cal – I hope Hasbro gets around to both of these figures, as Carol Danvers and Karla Sofen as Ms. Marvel both are worthy of the new busty build – this begs the question, though: just how many Thunderbolts sets did Cal get? – ends Aug 14, 2013 19:00:26 PDT and Aug 14, 2013 19:15:06 PDT

Marvel Legends Rocket Raccoon Wave Group Shot and Packaged Pics

The Rocket Raccoon wave of Marvel Legends is here! It feels like a long time since we’ve had new MLs in our hands, but if you count Iron Man Legends along with the Hit Monkey wave, then we’re back up to the number of Marvel Legends waves we had in 2012. The real question is whether the market can bear more than this. We’ve still got the Wolverine Legends wave incoming, but even with a Wolverine movie performing well in theaters (the cumulative box office is already estimated to exceed the $120MM production costs), what would be the 4th wave this year is at present a Previews Exclusive.

But back to this wave. I’ll have a closer look at some of the figures in the coming days, but here’s some quick thoughts.
