The latest Iron Man offerings from Diamond Select Toys are nearly here, and the Mark 42 and War Machine are very impressive. I’ve been waiting for them to reveal their Iron Patriot, and am wondering if the other figure in the second wave of Marvel Select Iron Man 3 figures will be another armor altogether or if it will be something like a Gwyneth Paltrow headsculpt in the Mark 42 armor.
Marvel Select Iron Man 3 Figure Packaging Revealed!
The wait for the ultimate Iron Man 3 action figures is almost here! Diamond Select Toys has given us a first look at the packaged shots for the Iron Man Mark 42 armor as well as the War Machine armor!
Each 7-inch figure has 16 points of articulation, an interchangeable unmasked head and an armor bay display base, all packed into oversized Select display packaging, with spine artwork for shelf storage. War Machine has a removable, articulated shoulder cannon, and Iron Man comes with interchangeable fists!

It’s the Spring Sale at Things From Another World, and that means that selected toys (and comics, graphic novels, statues, and more) are on sale for 40% off. Remember when Marvel Select figures were almost like statues, with a few swivel cuts here and there? DST may be limited to 16 points of articulation on Select figures, but with the new style joints, they’ve got ridiculously good movement these days. The Mark 42 and War Machine figures are great examples, as illustrated by the new pics that DST has shared. I’m looking forward to seeing their Iron Patriot, and I wonder if the second exclusive they’ve teased will have a more feminine appeal.
Iron Man 3 is less than one month away, and Diamond Select Toys is hard at work on their Marvel Select action figures for the movie! Iron Man Mark 42 and War Machine were designed by Gentle Giant based on digital data from the film, and will stand approximately 7.5″ tall with 16 points of articulation.
Each will include an armor bay diorama base, and come packaged in DST’s display-ready Select figure packaging.
