Let’s downscale a bit from my last Marvel Universe review of the SDCC Sentinel, and take a look at the 3-3/4″ Scarlet Spider that was just recently released. There have been many Spider-Men released in the MU line, so what makes this one unique?

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 – Hasbro Marvel Panel Presentation
Hasbro really put on a great Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, and their brand team has just released the presentation they used. If you missed it, you can also check out the video I shot of the Hasbro Marvel panel as well as some pictures of the Build-a-Figure Arnim Zola that is coming in the second wave of the Marvel Legends relaunch.

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 – Hasbro Marvel Panel Video
One of my favorite reveals in all of Comic-Con happened during the Hasbro Marvel panel today (video below). In wave 2 of the relaunch of Marvel Legends, Hasbro will be making Arnim Zola the Build-a-Figure. While that’s an awesome announcement on its own, it gets better – through running changes, you’ll have the option to build a Red Skull version of Arnim Zola with new parts and an alternate chest insert (shown above).

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 – Hasbro Marvel Universe Preview Night
With all my excitement about Marvel Legends, I might have missed the Marvel Universe display – but that was simply not possible with all the figures on hand. Make no mistake, 6-inch figures may be coming back, but 4-inch will still rule the Marvel shelf space in your local toy stores. On hand were single-carded figures, more 2-packs, and the upcoming 3-pack retailer exclusives. I wonder if we’re going to see another big figure to follow the Sentinel and Galactus.
