Weekend Toy Run: Pre-Order the Sideshow Exclusive Hot Toys Stealth Iron Man Mark VII

Hot Toys Avengers Stealth Mode Iron Man Mark VII 01

There were so many Iron Man armors during the “House Party Protocol” finale to Iron Man 3 that I’m sure I’ve missed a bunch, and this Mark VII is in stealth mode, after all. But this exclusive from Hot Toys is labeled as a movie promo version for the Avengers, where the Mark VII debuted, and I don’t recall Iron Man fighting Loki or the Chitauri with stealth mode activated. So let’s chalk this up to Hot Toys milking the Iron Man cash cow for all it’s worth. 😀

If I sound cynical, it’s just that the re-deco looks pretty awesome, but I’m already stuck wondering if I can afford the Hot Toys Hulkbuster Iron Man. But iif you’re building your Iron Man armory, this will be a more limited release – Hot Toys has announced some Asian outlets, but like with their other exclusives, you can pre-order the Marvel Iron Man Mark VII Stealth Mode Version Sixth Scale Figure in the U.S. at Sideshow Collectibles.

Hot Toys Reveals Hawkeye from Avengers: Age of Ultron

Hot Toys Avengers Age of Ultron Hawkeye 01

Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye is the latest Avenger from Age of Ultron to get a Hot Toys figure. Like Cap, Iron Man, Hulk, and Black Widow, Hawkeye’s been updated with his costume look from the movie, sporting the long sleeve tunic that looks more appropriate for those cold weather sequences in the movie. His headsculpt looks better to me this time around, and yes, he still comes with those cool shades. He’s also armed with a baker’s dozen of arrows and nine interchangeable arrow heads – if you ask me, that still doesn’t seem like enough when you’re being overrun by a horde of Ultron drones.

I skipped the first version of Hawkeye when the original movie came out, but feel compelled to complete my Avengers with him now. You can pre-order the Marvel Hawkeye Sixth Scale Figure from Sideshow Collectibles.

This just leaves Thor and Nick Fury for the major characters that may get re-dos for the sequel, and the mutant Inhuman twins, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, for their first Hot Toys figures. Avengers Assemble!

Hot Toys Falcon Giveaway

Sideshow Collectibles is back with another Hot Toys giveaway, this time for the Falcon from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Falcon comes with his flight backpack with LED lights, which you can configure with fully extended wings. He also comes with interchangeable hands, a pair of submachine guns, and those awesome flight goggles.

The entry period for the contest ends on March 30, but you can hedge your bets and pick up the Marvel Falcon Marvel Sixth Scale Figure directly from Sideshow. After all, you might have to take on three SHIELD Helicarriers plus a crazy Russian super-assassin from the Cold War today.

The Falcon appears next in Avengers: Age of Ultron, in just over a month. On your left!

Get Matt Fraction’s Hawkguy (aka Marvel Select Avenging Hawkeye) at Marvel.com

Marvel Select Hawkguy (aka Avenging Hawkeye)

If you’re a fan of Matt Fraction’s Hawkguy, now you can own his action figure. The Marvel Select Avenging Hawkeye is available now at Marvel.com. He’s just in time, too – due to delays to the series finale, the figure managed to beat the last issue of the critically-acclaimed Hawkeye, by Fraction, Aja, and Hollingsworth, to the stands.

Hawkguy is loaded with accessories – he comes with a compound bow and crossbow, 6 arrows, hands for gripping and drawing the bowstring, and interchangeable heads (one with sunglasses, one without). But the real prize is Lucky, aka Pizza Dog – the first non-powered, one-eyed pooch to star in his own super hero comic book. Get this figure now, bro!

Heads Up: Marvel Avengers Legends Agents of Shield 3-Pack Exclusive In Stock at ToysRUs.com

Marvel Avengers Legends Agents of Shield 3-Pack - packaged

If you’ve been on the hunt for Phil Coulson, Nick Fury, and Maria Hill, you’re in luck – the Marvel Legends Agents of Shield 3-pack that’s exclusive to Toys R Us is now in stock. The 3-pack, which could also have been called Directors of Shield, is priced at $49.99, so it qualifies for the TRU free shipping deal.

Considering how prices dropped on the Captain America, Ms. Marvel, and Radioactive Man exclusive at Target, I thought about waiting to order. But I think this might sell a bit more briskly, given the stronger ties to the Agents of Shield TV show and the Avengers movies. Plus, the only repeat here is Nick Fury, who was last available a few years back in the Wal-Mart line. Coulson and Hill have not had figures before and are completely new.

Thanks to Paul again for the heads-up, and happy shopping!
