And, just like that, we’re back into some more Mattel goodness.  They just published final pics of the Masters of the Universe Moss Man on Facebook.  As you may recall, they ran into some issues with flocking and articulation a couple months back.

After seeing how he turned out, I’ve got both feet firmly in the “no flocking” camp for Panthor, when they get to him.  I think it’s fine for Moss Man, because that was his thing back in the 80’s, but I don’t want to see the awesome sculpt from Battle Cat covered up.

Just got in our final sample of Moss Man! We know fans have been waiting to see how the flock turned out. We really pushed the limits to flock as much as possible. Enjoy the shots!

Not only will this free event feature some of the hottest artists interpreting the world of MOTU, but we will be revealing one of our SDCC MOTUC items at the show! I loved my Battle Armor He-Man when I was a kid, and this figure captures everything that made it a great toy.  Since the armor is removable, I think I would have preferred to have flesh underneath it and sculpted abs instead of the smoothed out armor piece – that would have made the figure a little more versatile.  I may put this head and armor on my original He-Man.

If you are on the fence about this figure, I say go for it, he really is the best He-Man we have gotten in my opinion. If you are just now getting into the Masters line and don’t have a He-Man figure yet, you are in luck – this one will make a representation of the main Master on your shelf. I had always planned on getting this figure even though I was not sure what I was going to do with him. Well, this one will with Battle Cat – it’s like peanut butter and chocolate, they go great together. The one quibble I think most will find is that he only comes armed with his battle axe – no sword or shield. Remember, you have to be on Matty Collector on the 15th in order to get him!

I’m really looking forward to Battle Cat, and it’s nice to see his articulation in action. But even after the video I am wondering what the articulation is like in Battle Cat’s torso.
