Here are the latest questions and answers from Mattel. We were able to get a super-sized set in for this last session – moving forward Mattel has asked participating websites to limit the number of questions to five.
Thanks to Mattel and Toy Guru!

1. Thanks for sending the DC Universe Classics Wave 12 pics. Before we dive into questions about those figures, when are you going to send us pics of Wave 11? 😀
Mattel has posted pics of the upcoming Goddess figure from Masters of the Universe Classics. The Green Goddess has been a most requested figure from the early days of MOTU and will be seeing plastic for the first time.
While this is essentially a new deco on Teela, the translucent green certainly gives it a unique look. The Goddess is a bonus figure in December on Mattycollector.com.
The Goddess has arrived
Check out the Goddess in all her glory! This fan demanded figure comes out this December 15th. Note that she is not included in the 2009 subscription, so if you want to add her to your collection, move fast!
Goddess comes with removable snake armor, corodite armor, power shield and Grayskull’s axe to train her warriors as well as an all new staff of the Elders. Catch her before she magically disappears!

For those like me who are small-type challenged, here’s the bio transcribed. It looks like a last minute correction was made, as the “REAL NAME” tag is a sticker.
THE GODDESS
TRAINER OF HE-MAN
REAL NAME: SHARELLA
After the death of King Grayskull, the power of the universe was transferred from the Sword of He to the Council of Elders who hid it deep within his castle. Knowing the full sword was the key to channeling the power, they split it in two to prevent it from falling into the hands of evil. For five centuries they waited for a worthy heir to be born. During this time their spirit guide, the creature known as “The Goddess” of Eternia, trained secret heroic guardians to keep the two halves of the sword separated. Many of these brave warriors took the name “He-Man” in honor of the sword they protected, giving birth to many different legends of the protector of Eternia.
And here we are – Veebee has posted his first look at the Masters of the Universe Classics Teela. Mrow!
Before we go any further, let’s get to the obvious – this is a gorgeous figure. It is becoming ubiquitous to say (even though I, in fact, love saying it) but the Four Horsemen are, ahem, Masters of Masters of the Universe (and anything else they touch). What continues to amaze me is the fact that they are still getting better at what they do, especially with the female figures. I got my DCUC Power Girl figure about a month ago and the first thing I said was “They are going to have to do a lot to top this one”. Well, as you can probably guess by the wordy build-up, Teela is right up there with her. I think I am in love. Again.
Mattel has posted some info on Teela to answer questions following some of the reviews of samples that went out earlier in the week. Some reviews have noted that the Staff of Ka comes horribly warped – this clarifies that the staff is intended to be curvey.
VeeBee told me that the Fwoosh will be reviewing Teela pretty soon, hopefully today.
Since a few fan sites are doing reviews of Teela, I wanted to point out a few details on this awesome fig!
First off, she goes on sale Oct 15th, only on MattyCollector.com (along with bonus figure Zodak on the same day!)
Teela comes with the following:
Zoar (original colors)
Alt head with snake armor
Staff of Ka
Sword
Shield
The staff is supposed to be curvey at the bottom. This is not warping caused by the pack out. The Horsemen sculpted the staff after the original cross sell art which had a curvey staff!
Also, a lot of fans are asking about Zoar’s armor and pertch. We do have plans for both in the future in all the necessary colors. Stay tuned!
I’m a bit late with the pics of the Masters of the Universe Classics Webstor. Thanks to the September through December MOTU Classics subscription (does it have a classy name like “Club Eternia?”) I had Webstor in hand last Thursday, but didn’t get the chance to open him until now. Even though I didn’t hit Mattycollector.com this month since I didn’t anything else on my buy list, I heard that the ordering was as smooth as it’s been. That’s good news, because as the year closes out, more and more figures will be must haves on the Mattycollector.com release schedule.
