Get ready for a little rant – I just had another bad Mattycollector experience. This past Friday was Early Access. Normally it’s no big deal, offering the figures we’ve already subscribed for and customer service stock on a couple of other figures. But this time it was for some of Mattel’s San Diego Comic-Con exclusives.

Hurray for subscribing, right? Nope – leave it to Digital River to make it painful.

Mattel San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives Up For Sale Monday 8/5, Early Access on 8/2

Movie Masters Man of Steel Superman in Black Suit and Jor-El in Stock on Amazon for $15.99

Last night I noticed that Amazon had the black-suited Superman from Mattel’s Movie Masters Man of Steel line in stock for $15.99. (Hint: if you like AFP’s Facebook page or follow the AFP Twitter account you got a special heads up last night.) Supes is still up this morning so I thought I’d make an official post about it.

Jor-El is also back in stock at the same price, and the regular Superman never left – thus negating any chance of a Superman Returns joke.

DC Comics Classic TV Series Batman and Robin 2-Pack Available Now on Amazon

If you’ve been waiting for Mattel’s Batman Classic TV Series line to become available, Amazon now has the Batman and Robin 2-pack in stock for $29.99. That’s a bit early, since they had been showing with an August 1 availability date during pre-orders.

Maybe it’s just semantics, because while the 2-pack shows in stock, the listing says it may take one or two days extra to process. As Robin would say, “Holy six of one, half dozen of the other, Batman!” You’re right. Robin would never say that.
