If you are willing to pay just a little more for the convenience of avoiding the hunt, then NECA’s eBay store is a great place to pick up hard to find items. Toys R Us had been fairly reliable with their aisle for collectors, but the ones in my area have squeezed out a lot of the shelf space that had been allocated for it.

NECA Quarter Scale Predators Series 3 - Elder and Big Red

I knew NECA has been on a tear with their quarter scale figures, but had no idea they’d already done two sets of Predators already. The Elder and Big Red (from Sandy Collora’s Batman: Dead End short film) are series 3, and I’m just amazed at the detail these figures have. In 1/4 scale, these figures will both tower over your other figures at 19-inches tall.

These should come in priced at around $90 each.

NECA is Giving Away a Full Set of Predator Series 9

NECA has been kicking ass with its ass-kicking Predator figures, and just like Predators series 8 (Entertainment Earth), the ninth wave has got a Double Dutch helping.

Scheduled to arrive in June, NECA is celebrating by hosting a giveaway of a full set of the figures. And for your chance to win, all you have to do is get a little down and dirty. You’ve got until May 3rd to enter.

WebSwipe: Daniel Picard’s 1:1 Toys

I came across the Daniel Picard Photography website via a Sideshow Toys Facebook post and have been cursing his photography and Photoshop skills ever since. He has filled up his 1:1 Toys project by “using collectible toys and and giving them the illusion of being full-size.”

His shots include figures from Sideshow Collectibles, Hot Toys, 3A Toys, and more – now I envy his collection too.
