Pixel Dan may have been rejoicing over Mosquitor – he showed up in costume to battle Toy Guru, cosplaying the Mighty Spector – but we all know that the real travesty that was finally righted was the absence of Jitsu in the Masters of the Universe Classics line. Oh, and Mattel also showed off other, lesser Masters figures that wrap up this year and continue into the 2013 Club Eternia subscription.

You can sign up for Club Eternia right now – go already!

SDCC 2012: ThreeA Toys Halo will Blow the Hell out of those Damn Bugs

ThreeA Halo (1280x1280).jpgThreeA Halo (1) (1279x1280).jpgThreeA Halo (2) (1280x1280).jpgThreeA Halo (3) (1277x1280).jpg

It’s been years since I’ve played a Halo game, but somehow I’m still buying Halo action figures. And it’s been a slippery slope. I bought a few McFarlane figures, and last year Square Enix got me with some of their Play Arts Kai figures. Now, 3A Toys is going to crush this license with super-articulated, super-detailed figures like this bad boy.

Watch out, guys – if you’re resisting 1/6 scale figures, Halo from 3A is a dangerous gateway drug. I dare you to buy this when it comes out and see if you can stop. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! Pretty soon you’ll be hunting down these other 3A figures we saw at SDCC.

On Preview Night, Mattel showed us their Club Infinite Earths Black Mask and Poison Ivy production samples in 6 inches (we had seen them in 2-up format at Toy Fair). Earlier today, at their MattyPalooza panel, Mattel showed us the figures that would round out this year and kick off the subscription next year.

SDCC 2012: Mattel Announces DC Universe Watchmen Six-Figure Line

DC Universe Watchmen (1280x720).jpg

During Mattel’s MattyPalooza panel at San Diego Comic-Con today, they announced that the mystery line they had been teasing will be for a comics-based Watchmen line, to be exclusively offered on MattyCollector.com. There will be six figures, one every other month in 2013, starting with Rorschach and Doctor Manhattan. Presumably we will see Nite Owl (not Owlman like I originally posted – thanks to Matt for pointing out my typo), Silk Spectre, Ozymandias, and my most anticipated, the Comedian.

SDCC 2012: Hasbro Marvel Legends Hit-Monkey and Savage She-Hulk

Hasbro revealed two more Marvel Legends figures from the first wave planned for 2013. If you are not familiar with Hit-Monkey, he was introduced by Daniel Way during his Deadpool run, and had a one-shot and 3-issue limited series around the same time a couple years back. Savage She-Hulk (the Lyra version) will be a swap-out for Red She-Hulk.

You can see the other 2013 wave 1 figures here:
