In conjunction with LEGO, Marvel has published a series of videos featuring our favorite LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. The first episode sets up Loki as the mastermind behind the scenes, as he powers up Doc Ock for a fight versus Spider-Man.

DesignerCon is being held this weekend in Pasadena, CA, at the Pasadena Convention Center. DCon is an annual art and design convention that is basically a mash up of collectible toys and designer apparel, along with with urban, underground and pop art… including skate decks, original art and custom toys.

That said, you might have wished to get Fuller Designs’ OTHER collectible – his Trick R Treat villains – Joker, Red Skull, Dr Doom and Loki. These were super cool bad guys hand-made resin pieces, using Fuller Designs’ own Lil’ Jammie design, hand-painted with acrylic and airbrush paints, and came with their own little pumpkin full of goodies… I said “came” cuz they’re all SOLD OUT, but are really worth a look.

At the “Night Before” party, Hasbro also pulled out the stops for the merchandise for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which opens in May. If conventional wisdom holds, that means a street date for the toys in the February time-frame.
Like the Captain America figures, Marvel Spider-Man Legends Infinite Series (still a tongue-twister) will feature a build-a-figure – the Ultimate Green Goblin – also split over two waves. Following the pattern, Hasbro also plans swap-outs for figures – Carnage, Black Cat, and Beetle are the swaps in the first wave, for the 2 Spideys and Electro. Hopefully this works better for the movie-themed waves than they did for the latter ML waves from this year.

As always, Diamond Select Toys has posted some fun pics of the latest series of Marvel Minimates. Series 50 (wow!) is the fan choice wave, available now, and includes both versions of Baron Zemo, a Nova Corps army builder, Cyborg Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, and Onslaught and Songbird (pictured above).
