After many fan requests, Lucasfilm is releasing a limited edition set of 6-inch scale Star Wars figures. There will be a series of figures from each movie and EU figures voted on by the fans. These figures will feature multiple points of articulation, cloth accessories, and top notch sculpts.

New York Comic Con 2011 – Bif Bang Pow!, Funko, and Toys R Us Exclusives at Entertainment Earth

Entertainment Earth will be at New York Comic Con for the first time this year. They’re continuing their partnership with Toys R Us, so in addition to the Bif Bang Pow! and Funko exclusives, they will also have some of the TRU items, like Minimates, Real Ghostbusters, and an exclusive Rick Grimes from the Walking Dead line of figures from McFarlane.

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 – Hasbro Star Wars Panel Presentation

The Hasbro Star Wars panel was one of a number of panels I had marked on my schedule but didn’t end up attending. Don’t take this as booth emo (a term a few die-hard 3A Legionnaires coined as we waited in line for 3A exclusives) but if you haven’t been to one of these cons, you spend a whole lot time waiting in line, and a lot of the time you don’t end up with anything but the fond memories of the conversations you had (usually about the line) with the guys around you.

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 – ThreeA Star Wars Sales Prototypes Preview Night

I passed by the IDW booth to see if Ashley and ThreeA were selling anything and I was surprised to see these 6-inch Star Wars figures in-package. According to Ashley these figures are sample test prototypes to show to Takara. Ashley was kind enough to open the Stormtrooper to show us how articulated the figure is.

I sure hope one day these figures get made, ThreeA and Star Wars would be a great match indeed! Again, to be clear though, ThreeA is not making or selling these figures – they are just for show for Takara.

San Diego Comic Con 2011 – Hasbro Exclusive Star Wars Death Star Revenge of the Jedi Press Pics

First unveiled at the Hasbro Toy Fair collector event, this huge Star Wars set comes packaged in the Death Star and includes fourteen (wow!) figures, including Salacious Crumb and a mouse droid. Figures will be individually carded in the vintage style, including the original title of the final movie in the original trilogy, Revenge of the Jedi.

I don’t know how much this exclusive is going to cost, and I can’t wait to see folks lugging this around at the show.
